Great replacement for old and ugly faux brass hinges. The hardest part in installing was removing the paint stuck old ones.

When I received my product I immediately went to work swapping our old brass hinges for these beautiful matte black ones. We had recently changed out the door knobs to matte black ones, but the corresponding brand hinges were very pricey. These ones are great value, making replacing a lot of hinges affordable. I was able to swap them out myself by switching one hinge at a time. A few of the hinges and screws arrived with minor scrapes or chips, but nothing noticeable unless you stop to inspect up close. They instantly change the look of our home! They are plenty strong for our solid wood and glass French doors. As for durability, I will update if things change.

these are sturdy, well made hinges. my only negative is they are made in China but in this case they are not cheap.

Great product, especially for the price. I searched around and these were definitely the best deal on black hinges. They make such a difference compared to what we use to have (painted over brass). Were upgrading our door hardware and these *thankfully* fit just right in our interior doors. The metal is sturdy enough, though I wouldnt use them on exterior doors- I think you need stronger/bigger ones for security sake. Other reviewers were right and the screws are just painted black so either screw them in very very carefully or get a black marker to cover up any scratches.
