> 3 dayThis opens like a standard umbrella by pressing down on a lever. But this umbrellas lever is covered by a 2 inch piece of plastic which doesnt usually line up with the lever. I have to fuss and fuss with it to finally get it open. It can take 30 seconds fussing to get it open which is very annoying. If I had been able to try this out in a store, I never would have bought it for $26. I now regret throwing out the box and not returning as soon as I discovered this defect. Its very pretty but that doesnt make up for it.

> 3 dayBought this umbrella for myself; I am a fan of long-handled stick umbrellas, and I like the traditional parasol appearance. With its straight handled grip and 24 ribs, this umbrella is very sturdy and has the traditional parasol look. Each panel is sewn from a different colored nylon. I purchased the non-automatic umbrella, and pushing down on the lock mechanism is a little awkward. Not recommended for someone with arthritis or dexterity issues. The umbrella is large enough to shelter two people, but not so big as to be awkward for one person. It comes with a sheath with a shoulder strap, which is very useful for carrying it. I am always getting compliments on the beauty of my umbrella, too!

Greater than one weekThe design is lovely and colorful on a rainy day. Like another buyer, I had the experience of the umbrella not closing. Was walking down the street with the umbrella open and heard a noise thinking that something had fallen on it. Didnt see anything but when I arrived at my destination, the umbrella would not close. Very frustrating as it was on the higher cost side (for me) for an umbrella and I would have expected it to last years. There has also been little use as we have not received a great deal of rain. Very disappointing.
