3 Sprouts Baby Laundry Hamper Storage Basket Organizer Bin for Nursery Clothes, Llama

I bought one of these in 2015 and it had a solid bottom (rather than mesh) and slightly bigger holes for the top handles. The new one doesnt stand up very well because of the mesh (hoping this will change once its had some laundry in it for a while). Its also difficult to sling over your shoulder because of the smaller handle holes. We bought these specifically so we could cart babies and laundry down two flights of stairs at the same time. The new one just seems a little cheaper overall.

Good size laundry hamper. I use it for storing odd & big size toys of my two kids. As it had a net bottom, I cut a peice of cardboard from amazons delivery box & placed it at the bottom of hamper to add sturdiness to the bottom. Now even if I throw the toys in the bag, toys do not bang or make loud noise when they hit the ottom of bag :-)

This hamper is adorable. Its easy to carry up and down to the laundry and holds several loads at once. I was a little hesitant thinking the fabric may not be thick enough for the bag to stand up on its on but it definitely does - we wanted a hamper but also an added bit of a statement piece to add to the theme of our babys room. The handles can be folded inside the hamper or you can leave them folded out. We have them folded out and I actually keep a bottle of stain remover hanging from the handle (yes, the handles are that strong to hold the bottle..for now, but it may eventually fold down from the over wearing of the fabric from the weight of the spray bottle). Its great quality, as Ive found 3 Sprouts products to be.

A little bit smaller than I expected. It is polyester with padding to keep it stiff and upright and the design is painted on not felt like other 3 sprouts things. There is no frame of any kind so it will squish and could become misshapen over time but with a little coxing out of the bag it is standing up nicely for now. Mine has a spot where the edging was not sewed on and the goat is positioned a bit high so one horn is folded in the top of the hamper. I should be big enough for baby clothes but is not huge so an older kid might out grow it or if you use a lot of towels and things. Overall it is cute and I like it for now.

Why on earth would this company change their design!? I have two of these I bought two years ago with canvas bottoms and a larger opening at the top. NOW the bottom is made of loose mesh (which causes it to stand funny) and I don’t even want to know how it would look once it’s full of clothes your trying to drag or carry to the washing machine. And don’t even think about using it for toys. I not only purchased these for myself but I’ve also purchased them as baby shower gifts in the past. They were great for putting other gifts inside the hamper and using it as the gift bag. No longer. I bought this one with the intention of bringing to a shower full of gifts but now with this mesh bottom that will hold little weight it’s going back. I have a feeling the company changed their design for supposed safety reasons. Why else would they ruin a perfectly good design. I saw in the reviews that someone said their baby got “trapped in the hamper” and they were acting like the child could have been injured. Not sure how the old design could ever harm a child.. Too bad because I would have bought more when mine need replaced and probably one for any babyshowers I attend in the future. Bring back old design!

Love these laundry bags. I have one that’s over 5 years old. Very durable and holds a lot of kids clothes.

These laundry hampers are wonderful (we own the lion and the polar bear). I purchased the hamper for my babys nursery and realized how usable they were for my older boys. The hamper stands upright very well. We often just leave the handles up and dont make the handles act like a hole as in the picture, it is sturdy and holds a good amount of clothes. The main reason I love it. My boys can easily carry it up and down the stairs to our laundry room (they are seven and five), it isnt awkward for them to carry. The hamper itself is lightweight and durable. I have not tried to clean our hamper yet so I cant comment on that aspect of the hamper. We have owned our hamper for over six months.

I purchased three of these laundry hampers: the octopus, polar bear, and orangutan. I knew from reading reviews that these werent made out of heavy canvas like some of the other 3 Sprouts products, but I didnt realize that the animals were just printed on. I assumed that even though the main material was different that the animals would still be stitched on. I bought 3 of the laundry hampers and 3 toy bins at the same time for my three boys. I had planned to have a laundry hamper and a toy bin at the foot of each boys bed, but next to the toy bins, the laundry hamper animals look cheap. The print of my favorite animal, the octopus, is even all cracked around the eyes already. The polyester material seems like it will be fairly easy to keep clean, but I wish it had a plastic coating on the inside like the toy bins do so that it would be easy to wipe out. I do like that the hampers stand up on their own, unlike the toy bins. They are a great size for kids, and fit well at the foot of my boys beds. I would have paid extra though for hampers with actual appliqué animals on them.

So cute and sturdy! I have had the goat laundry bag for years (around 8) and use it as our primary laundry bag. It shows no wear—I’m so impressed! We recently bought the octopus and it’s ridiculously cute. The only thing I didn’t realize is that the bottom of the bag is now mesh instead of canvas. This isn’t really a downfall—I just don’t yet know if it will be as sturdy but we’ll find out! Love this company’s products.

We love 3 sprouts and have many many many of the items. Love the overall design and functionality of the hamper, love that the opening turns into large handles. Only complaint is that the goat image is screen printed onto the canvas vs all of the other bins and caddies that have layered felt cutouts sewn/attached on. UPDATE: Had to come back and add another star because we do REALLY LOVE the functionality of the hamper. Honestly, I understand now why the hampers are screen-printed on vs sewn on felt---the hamper can stand up to damp/wet clothes very well, as well as being stored in a wet area (like ours which is kept in our twins bathroom). Also, I should note that we used 3 Sprouts for all of our girls storage in the playroom. We have 4 of the large toy bins, 3 of the square bins and 3 of the caddies. So, in our case, we immediately noticed the difference in construction when compared to the rest of the line. But, even if you are like us and are doing an entire room with 3 Sprouts, the hampers still match well and are very cute, so do not be put off by the reviews about the image being printed on.
