30 Blue Monster Puppet, Full Body Ventriloquist Style Puppet

This puppet is the bomb! I couldnt quit laughing first time I played with it. The natural state of the mouth is open, and its very light weight. It smelled a little musty right out of the plastic bag, but the odor dissipated quickly. I plan to use it teaching English for speakers of other languages. Kids will love it, but at this size, it needs an adult or older child to work it (in my opinion).

When I saw this on Amazon, read some of the reviews, and noted how large it is, I knew I had to own it. I have a Wyvern from Folkmanis, and while it fits my large adult hand/arm well enough, I had been looking for a larger, more professional looking puppet!! This guy is absolutely perfect, and my hand fits in the area provided just fine. Many have already pointed out that the hair around his mouth needs to be trimmed back, and once Ive accomplished that, Ill be looking for clothes to dress him up in!

Quality control on these is terrible. As you can see in the picture Ive included, the head is sewn on turned to one side, so you can never really look straight forward. One arm is sewn in noticeably higher than the other, and the plastic sleeve at the end of the arm rod slips, so your hand is exposed to sharp metal. Also, the placement of the yes is wildly unpredictable - you might get one where they eyes look okay, but probably not. Nope, not keeping. Many people seem to like these - Im not sure why. They are not especially cute, they arent made particularly well, and they are only marginally functional as real puppets. If you care about puppets, pass. PS - it is not even close to the pleasant aquamarine blue color shown in the product photo - it is a strident electric blue.

Love this puppet! We use it in Children’s Ministry. The kids love learning about the Bible through this puppet.

Very nice for basic puppet. Metal stick for the puppet hand has some sharp edges but not too bad.
