> 3 dayHeavy duty wire wheel for heavy paint and rust removal. Instead of single wires which can fly off when brushing these heads have many twisted wires which holds them together and lets you really get after the rust. They screw onto the threaded shaft of the grinder. If your grinder has a guard around the wheel make sure it can accept a 4 1/2 wide attachment. These are rated up to 12,500 RPM but I cant imagine anyone needing to run them that fast. They clean surfaces pretty aggressively.

> 3 dayThe wires angle down below the center disk, very helpful when brushing corners. They hold up well.

> 3 dayThese have been instrumental in removing decades of caked on grime and paint from the 74 Beetle we are restoring. One thing we learned in using them was that when they start to un-knot themselves, they are still useful for light weld cleanup and surface clean-up, however they are not as effective at that point at rust removal and the like. Weve purchased a second set of these as we wore through our first set.

> 3 dayThese are rust eating wheels if you can stand the flying wire. BE SURE TO WEAR EYE PROTECTION WITH THESE WHEELS. A full face shield is best.

> 3 dayUsed these wheels to sand down and clean a stock trailer for pain prep. They definitely held up and there’s lots of life left in them. Absolutely with the money.

Greater than one weekThe way these are made allows you to use them horizontal or vertical and because they use a heavier wire than on the wire wheels I have used. Cup wheels flair out, these maintain shape and regular wire wheels dont like side loading, these dont seem to mind and work well doing it. So far I havent seen any shedding of wire from the bristles but that dont mean it wont happen. Wear your eye protection and gloves.

> 3 dayThese wire wheels look good quality. Ill be using one later on and Ill update the review if it flies apart or anything like that. The one thing that is a little different about these is that the angle of the wire is less than the ones Ive been using. Im interested to see if that angle is good for getting into tighter spots.

> 3 dayThis is a really good wheel brush for stripping off rust in tight spaces where a stripping wheel wont work. The wheel brush works extremely well and makes short order of rust. What I do want to stress is that you must take the necessary safety precautions when you use these types of wheels - remember, these are strands of hard wire spinning at an extremely high speed and a wire will break off from time to time and will act like a dart, so it would be ideal to wear safety goggles and a face shield (Jackson Safety Maxview and Honeywell UVEX Bionic are 2 really good shields), long sleeve shirt, jeans, and boots (no flip-flops) - a welding apron would be ideal (it may seem like overkill, but safety first). As for the wheel brush, I cant recommend it enough - it just worked freakishly well and stripped out the rust ridiculously fast on the iron chairs and benches in my patio; they wound up looking like new. Its a really great wheel brush that works extremely well. Remember - safety first.

Greater than one weekfor the cost of one from a local big box store you get 4 wire wheels in this set. Granted you get what you pay for so the overall quality is lower on each one. That being said they still work and do exactly what is needed. Like all wire brushes the wires wear and break off or can just come out and they do so with enough force to stick into clothing or skin. But these wheels are great to remove rust, paint and clean up welds
