> 3 dayThis product is not hooks like the OEM part, I cant say if it would have lasted longer or not. Both of these pads lasted about 5 minutes before the sander went out of balance. The pad is held on by four coarse screws that go into plastic and I did not want to over tighten. The first pad went out of balance so I took the pad off and reinstalled and tightened the screws more. The sander made an unexpected noise when I turned it back on. I thought I must have over tightened the first pad, so I put the second pad on very carefully to see that the screws held the pad uniformly. It did not last long before it went out of balance again. The bearing end cap and bearing retainer, both plastic parts, were also destroyed in the process. $5 in parts and $10 in shipping, plus the $20 for these pads make it a $35 mess. Seems to be a poor design from Dewalt. I just ordered an OEM pad, wish me luck. Tom
