I have a music production studio and have many USB devices that need to be hooked into the computer. I use hard drives, audio interfaces, synthesizers, midi controllers, etc. I figured I could use one hub instead of multiples to keep things clean. But nope, this unit can’t even handle 5 devices before connections start cutting out. Tried different plugs and different device orders, but sill issues. Returned it and picked up a Sabrent 10 port hub. Yes I wish I had a few more ports available for future expansion, but the most important thing is that everything works. And now it does. 10 devices and they’re all working. I don’t know, maybe this hub is designed for multiple thumb drives or charging multiple phones or something. But it just didn’t work for my needs. I would expect it to perform better due to its cost though. Especially since the Sabrent can handle10 of the same devices with no problems.

Works great. I have 11 hard drives hooked up to it. I really like the LED lit on/off switch for each drive. Well built. At little expensive, but worth it

Depending on what you plug into it worksgreat, or it freezes the system (which may recover when you unplug the culprit, or may require a power off reboot :o( - it doesnt like some USB drives (or USB adapters with drives in th) or some (most?) flash drives (bubblegum sticks?, whatever you call them)) the idiot lights that tell you if the sw8tches are on or off are hard to - you have to be right above them - I have to get out of my wheelchair to read them - of course you can pick it up, and yank on the plugged in wires, bat thats worse than a plan be sometimes you can get a device to function when you hard boott it, but then, if you turn the switch off, you have to turn it on again and re-hard bootb the computer - now that we have it well keep it, but cant recommend you buy it, unless you first find out specifically that everything you want to plug into it is going to work as desire - my success rate is about 1 out of 3 - biggest gripe is that I cant plug in a hard drive and expect it to just work - one printer works, one doesnt - and so it goes

Simply plugged in - with some other hubs I did not always get a good connection, but this has solid connections for each item plugged in.

I was able to replace two, seven port powered hubs that APPEARED to be working ok. As soon as I got the new hub onto the Mac all the drives started behaving. What else is there to say?

Been having trouble with my external hard drives losing connection and dropping from Windows 10. Tried a bunch of things - none worked. Finally replaced the USB hub with THIS HUB and everything is going great. Regularly get 140-180 MB/s transfers between drives even with the computer under heavy CPU Load with other tasks. The computer has been running for over a week without a single drive dropping requiring a reboot (with the old hub I never got more than a half-day continuous use before losing a drive). Very glad I bought this HUB. Works as expected and is better than the 1st hub I bought at about the same price.

I picked this unit up a couple of day ago and couldnt be happier. First of all this is a well made, solid device. You know when you transfer files from one directory to another on your internal drive? It only takes seconds. I am getting a transfer rate of large files from my internal drive to my external drive at just about the same speed. Plus all the ports are charging ports too. Highly recommended.

So maybe the lights arent the most important part but they sure are handy to know whether youre plugging in to an active outlet or not. My PC only as two USB 3.0 ports adding this baby give me LOTS more options. Phones charge faster. Portable WiFi Jet packs charge faster. Pictures transfer faster. Everything is faster with USB 3.0 and this gadget makes it nice and convenient. No reaching behind and around everything else. Just set the hub up somewhere convenient, plug it into a USB 3.0 port and now you have turned that one port into 16 ports.

So far I like this a lot. Is great to be able to turn on and off each USB device with out unplugging the cable. The a/c adapter is rather large. This replaced my two other USB hubs so my wiring is now much better organized.
