when I purchased my Chromebook, I did not know it will not update after 5 years. I checked the mfg. date on the back of it and it was made 3 years before I bought it new. so it was good for 2 years. I checked and found this to be true with ALL chromebooks, no update after the 5 year mark. a good way to stack up the greenhouse gases and the trash dump.

Really nice! Im an ex-mac devotee. Macs just dont last long before they are obsolete, and I cant shell out $1,000 every 3 years for a new one. I find Google chrome to be a wonderful, intuitive alternative. This is not aluminium like Mac, and the back edge of the lid (screen) near hinge, is sharp, and needs to be sanded in some way, perhaps moto tool to smooth the rough edge. Otherwise its a great size, not too small, not to heavy, keyboard is very light and nice to the touch (ex-typist, so I know what I say). For the price, simply amazing, very fast speed thanks to the memory in it. and that HD screen, just so excellent!! Not loaded up with software you dont want either. Love the golden color, its a deep golden, not real pale.

The computer constantly kicks me offline, is slow, times out & the charger port seems to be stretched out. Ive had many Acer Chromebooks without issue. So, I tried a new cord - nope. Its defective. So, I ask the Seller to exchange it. I got this on August 16th. Its now, Oct. 18th & The Seller says Sorry. You had 30 days to return. Grrrrrr...... I didnt WANT a return. I wanted a computer that works! So, I call Acer. The guy agrees - sounds defective. So, I get instructions to return it... Meanwhile, wth am I supposed to use for my work? & sounds like, theyre planning to repair this piece of crap & make me wait for that, instead of just sending me one thats NOT DEFECTIVE! Grrr...

Ok, so youve probably read the other reviews and read the description. You know the basics about the specs. All you want to know is if it can use the google playstore and apps. Yes it can. The second time I turned it on it updated and it added the google play store.

The laptop is absolutely gorgeous, especially the gold colour. Its a pretty gold, not a tacky one. The laptop came in good condition and works very well. The keyboard travel is small, but nothing I cant deal with and get used with.
