> 3 dayWe bought this Acer chromebook for kids to use doing homework. Mainly we were attracted to the inexpensive price. But wow, we have been impressed and now all enjoy using it. Most impressive have been the sturdy hinge that can open almost all the way flat. And even after have a family of 8 put this chromebook through daily use for a whole school year, the hinge is just as solid as when we bought it. The portability is as good as advertised with the light weight and compact size making it easy to carry around the house, use while sitting on the bed, the couch, the floor, the hammock, in the car or at the counter. Great for watching movies, the HDMI plug helps mirror to TV, or browsing internet and shopping online too. Were sold on this form factor. Ditching the laptops and getting a couple more of these.

> 3 daySo at first, I loved the computer. It came next day, beautiful color, worked wonderfully. And then a few weeks go by, I’m extremely careful with it and then the screen starts to mess up. Lines start showing up, the screen starts fading to black, I can’t do anything but restart it. Screen begins to flicker. I’m very upset since I’ve had it less than a month and having to return it.

> 3 dayThis computers bluetooth would suddenly stop. This made the wireless mouse unusable so I bought a wired one, The USB to which I connected the new mouse would sporadically stop sending power. This made that mouse unusable. I contacted Acer about this and they eventually referred me to a repair shop. Because this was problematic during the pandemic shutdown, I had to do the best I could. Eventually I had to buy a new computer. All in all, a very poor experience.

> 3 dayThis laptop is the best affordable laptop Ive ever owned. Ive purchased a cheap laptop before and was greatly disappointed. This Chromebook however has met all my business needs at an affordable price. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a budget laptop for business purposes such as typing documents and researching on the web.

> 3 dayThis was my third Acer Chromebook. And like the 2 before it, the microphone failed. Im not talking about poor audio or anything like that. More like - zero microphone. You can get around this with a headset, but thats not always ideal when your kid is in online classes all day. Or if you want to be able to hear whats going on w/ their virtual schooling. If you think about it, having an internal working mic is kind of essential.

Greater than one weekOrdered 2 of these: upon arrival, 1 was perfectly fine; however, the security seal was damaged on the other box. That same 1 was stuck in the factory testing mode. Thankfully, I had an empty flash drive and was able to reset the system with an OS recovery tool from Google. Someone with less tech knowledge would have had to go though the return and repair process with this purchase.

Greater than one weekStill pleasantly shocked by the real value and great quality of this excellent Acer Chromebook. The build - including the beautiful, bright HD screen - gets so close to Macbook Pro feel, it must be experienced to be appreciated. The keyboard provides good performance with springy, solid keys and the touchpad excels as a solid performer. The speakers pump out loud, crisp audio and the Quad Core CPU with 4 GBs of Ram will breeze through most any demanding work day. Acer even throws in a wireless mouse and really nice case. Highly recommended.
