I have had many computers in my life... custom and store-bought. This one has been pretty good so far. Handles everything I need professionally and everything I want for fun. As a gamer and designer, this gets it done.

I got this computer one year ago for christmas, its been amazing except for two giant flaws. The battery life is terrible, it wont last an hour just using google chrome, no games in the backround no nothing. The other major flaw is that it overheats a lot just playing fortnite cod or even sometimes just minecraft the cpu will get to 100 degrees celsius its crazy the computer will get so hot it will hurt to the touch. This is not very important but the speakers are pretty quiet. On the other hand the picture is great, games run really smoothly the graphics card is great it works really well. Except for the battery and the computer battery.

Ive had this laptop for a week now, and while there is much to like, there is also a few things that make me wish I had bought a different machine.

CPU and GPU keeps running hot. Gotten Blue Screen of Death after 2nd day playing on line. Would not recommend for a real gamer. I am not and just started playing with my husband. Have cooling pad and all. Just mailed it back to Amazon today!

been trying for two weeks to get help for the mouse pad not working and they keep giving me a run-around that their server is down and that I need to call back.

Performs well, and not terribly loud. Marginal gains from overclocking at the expense of a dramatic increase in noise. Display is not quite as bright as I would like for a room with lots of natural light but the refresh rate is a plus. RAM and M.2 expansion is painless, however 2.5 SSD expansion is effectively impossible without finding the proper cable. After calling Acer, they pointed me to a third party that produces the proper cable. Too difficult to navigate their web page so I gave up. I have been through two cables from amazon, and they did not work.

While this laptop does have a nice design and decent screen with 144hz refresh rate, my experience with this laptop has been plagued with power issues that required my computer to go back to Acer for now a 2nd time for the same exact issue. On top of that, Acer customer support is not easy to access or particularly helpful until you get higher level managers involved. For a laptop that costs such a premium price, I would expect a much higher quality product and that simply has not been the case. Very disappointed in Acer this time around.

Where to start, the Acer Helios 300 is probably one of the best laptops that you will ever find for the price. It arguably plays games at the level of a desktop PC. I have built desktops for quite some time and considering I traveling i had sold my current desktop and wanted to make a quick purchase for a laptop that could game , Modern Warfare, Overwatch, pub G and so on.

Machine had a hardware issue and continuously blue-screened. Customer service was miserable and a giant waste of time.
