Received the monitor quite recently and every part of it is a masterpiece, from the stand designs reinforcement of the spring hinges to the high quality, high performance panel with amazing HDR support. I cannot recommend this enough, even if the price tag is just short of your first born. I will say that the main downside I experienced was backlight haloing when using desktop HDR.

I bought it from Acer.com and one day I sent it back (I paid for shipping) the fan in the back in unbelievable, its like vacuum even after the monitor is off, you need to unplug the power cable.

I have ordered two x35 predator monitors through amazon and have been extremely unhappy with this monitor. The first monitor, attached picture with damage right side of the screen, arrived that way. When I first contacted amazon about this monitor they said it was a manufacturer defect and they would not take my return. Agent connected me to Acer and they informed me that if it isnt a manufacturer defect I would have to pay for it! I hung up and called amazon back and had to demand to speak to a US representative before I could get someone who actually would process a refund. I returned the monitor, amazon quickly refunded my money back and I had to wait until the monitor was in stock before I could order another. Ordered the second monitor and this one arrived and it actually could work. However; one I was able to finally get the monitor set up I noticed that it had several issues.

The box came in looking like it had been stored in someones basement for a month, and the monitor wouldnt even post the on-screen display settings using the built-in controls, much less display from input. Customer service was basically useless; I tried to humor them by going through all the hoops they requested despite how obviously non-functional the thing was, and they proceeded to drop my help chat when it took me more than 60 seconds to find a second computer to hook into the monitor for troubleshooting. Not the kind of support Id expect for a $2,500 display.

The monitor arrived today. I just got it set up and am putting it through the motions. So far I havent identified any dead pixels whatsoever. No real edge bleed to speak of. Color balance looks great out of the box as reviews noted. I like that it comes factory calibrated and ships with a print out from the factory. I havent seen a need to really tweak things yet, which makes the setup pretty hassle free.

When you spend $2000 on a monitor, youre entitled to demand near-perfection, and this monitor really isnt good enough.
