I bought this to revive an old HP Laptop with a Core 2 Duo and 4GB RAM. Yes, this laptop is about 10 years old. The original hard drive was dead, so I picked this up as a quick replacement. To my surprise, this drive has exceeded expectations over the last few weeks. It also allows us to run Windows 10 home on this laptop with no issues. Honestly, the value proposition for this drive is immense. You arent going to get the fastest read/write speeds, but for the price, it does the job where needed.

One of these drives was DOA and not recognized by BIOS. And since I ordered it in March, despite not opening it until now to install in a customers machine, I cant return it through Amazon. Wont even give me the option to request one. So Im going to have to call them to arrange this, go figure.

This is only the second SSD Ive ever owned, so maybe theres nothing wrong with it. The first one I bought (an Adata 120GB) has always run rather cool. However, this one tends to show high spikes in temperature (up to 128F) when its working hard. Ive removed the cover from the PC and blow air into the case to keep it cool. My theory: more chips producing heat within a confined space means the heat accumulates quickly and dissipates slowly.

Very reasonably priced. Used to upgrade an old PC. Fresh install of Windows 10 Pro and it goes from post to password in about 30 seconds.

It was very easy to use, just had to plug it in to an empty storage slot and it worked as soon as it got power

Bought it because I thought it was a good deal at the time. Didnt test it on arrival which was my mistake, because now that I need it a couple months later, I find out its dead.

If you’re looking to replace that HDD of yours with an SSD, look no further than the ADATA SU630, the Ultimate SU630 implements next-generation 3D QLC NAND Flash for higher affordability and storage capacities, ranging from 240GB to 960GB.
