    The dual sharpening blades work very well on all sizes of it pencils. However, even at the slowest speed, it sharpens very fast. There is very little control compared to hand sharpeners. Easy to clean.

    This pencil sharpener saves me money. I was buying expensive pencils thinking it was the pencils brand with broken leads. I noticed that every time I sharpen a pencil with my battery operated pencil sharpener the lead will keep breaking. So now I can buy regular pencils now and get a precise sharper pencil without nubs.

    This pencil sharpener was right on time for the start of the school year. It works great for our favorite #2 pencils and colored pencils. Haven’t tried it for crayons yet m, but it doesn’t look like those will be a problem either. Of course it could have been cheaper, but, all in all, a good investment. I would recommend this pencil sharpener.

    My initial review was a 5. Im an artist and use my color pencils frequently. I bought this for the joy of it being a power sharpener. Though the pencil fit was a bit tight it worked great. When the pencil was sharp it would stop. That was great. Within a short time it started slowing down. It was a quarter of the way full. Emptying it made no difference. I also cleaned it thoroughly with a stiff paint brush. The slowing continued to worsen, then it stopped. Greatly disappointed

    I was really hopeful that this pencil sharpener would handle my wax pencils without breakage, also the top comes loose easily. does not operate without being plugged in. My regular pencils Graphite sharpen just fine.

    I have two of these sharpeners for my 5th grade class, one dedicated to colored pencils and the other to plain Ticonderogas. The plain sharper gave up and the gears stopped working. I wrote to the company and within a week had a replacement sharpener for class. The company provided excellent customer service, prompt attention to my emails, and great communication. Thank you. I will definitely consider other items from them.

    So far so good. This sharpens as expected. The instructions could be a little better. The only criticism I have about this item is the dial for how sharp or blunt you want the pencil to be. Theres no mark on the dial to determine which side is which. When I compare the difference, all I can say is one side in longer in the sharpening point than the other. It does the job, but this improvement would definitely help out the consumer. Overall, good value for the price.

Tips about cleaning shavings box:

1. Unplug the sharpener before cleaning.

2. Open the top lid by turning counterclockwise, and dump the shavings.
