> 24 hourUsed these to replace some old 5 cans. I took the template to make a cardboard cutout from the box the lights came in. The 6.25 hole is a perfect diameter. Wiring is easy with the included junction box and connectors. Light selector is super simple and you can decide if you want yellow or super white lighting. I settled on 4K which is a good balance and they are super bright! Much better than the old 5 cans they replaced. Looks like a whole new room and colors look much better. To top it off these are a great value compared to what was available in my local big box store.

> 24 hourLike a lot of homes our living room had no overhead lighting and use of floor or table lamps just didn’t cut it. After a fair amount of research decided to purchase these lights. Pros. inexpensive, well made metal body and clips not plastic like some, ability to change color, straight forward install, look nice, low energy consumption, lights themselves are thin, complete unit (no need to buy can, trim and bulb separately), LEDs don’t get hot can contact insulation. Cons. Template provided is worthless, as others mentioned it makes too big a hole. I made a 6” hole which gave me a nice clean fit. If a light goes out you can’t just replace a bulb. Will these last? only time will tell. As for ease of installation, that will depend on your knowledge and expertise. My install involved pulling power from an existing line, dropping a new switch wire and box in the wall for a dimmer and then putting the lights in. Fortunately I had attic access and at 68 can still manage to crawl around up there (just barely). These weren’t any easier or harder to install than other retrofit cans. I did bench test all lights and boxes to make sure each functioned properly, didn’t want to have the hassle of one not working after installation. I also went online and used a spacing calculator for recessed lighting, put in length and width of the room it shows how many lights and were to put them for proper coverage. I’m not an electrician but have done electrical work since my teens. I like these and would probably buy again if needed. Just my thoughts. Best of luck with your install. ALOHA

> 24 hourThis style of LED lights with the seperate power supply are the NEW! I installed all 6, and a dimmer is a must have. Even with the first 3 lights installed with no dimmer, our room was brighter then the 2 old 60watt fixtures.

> 24 hourI ordered six black ringed lights. I received five black ringed lights and one white ring light. So I have one light doesnt match the others. Other than that installation was easy and the product works well.

> 24 hourI had a major disaster occur in my house (brother left the jacuzzi tub running upstairs and fell asleep, flooding the house for 7 hours) resulting in a for ed renovation. This room has ALWAYS been very dark, so I decided since I didn’t have a ceiling or walls that now would be the perfect time to wire up lights. I bought these lights with the hope that they would look and work just like any cannon light, and I’m even more impressed than I thought I would be. They are very bright, but the color is adjustable. I have them set in the middle. They are indeed dimmable, but the best part in MY opinion is that they are about the thickness of the drywall. Meaning if theres a stud exactly where you want to mount it, then you can! I have 6 lights in this room now, and 2 are directly under studs and you can NOT tell. Perfect! Im VERY happy! You do need power to the control boxes, but its fairly simple and the connectors are push in style. Each light has 2 pair of wire inputs, allowing you to daisy chain them together. Super easy!
