> 3 dayThe paper has a nice tooth and is fairly absorbent, and keeping it on the block until the paint has dried ensures that your painting doesnt warp. Getting the paper off of the block can be a little tricky without scissors or an exacto knife, but that is to be expected. My only complaint is that the paper block separated from the cardboard that it was mounted to so that the actual paper block is loose inside the green cover. Not a big deal, just a nuisance.

Greater than one weekWant to learn watercolor? Buy this paper! Dont waste your money on cheap paper, you will not be able to learn technique on paper that doesnt do what it is supposed to: blend, bleed, lift pigment easily without piling. Arches is by far the best Ive used, it stays workable longer and holds up to layers/passes of water and color better than others.

Greater than one weekI already love Arches Watercolor block, easy to use, keeps the paper from wrinkling when wet, and is the better price for this type of paper which only certain watercolor techniques will work. Like larger size, too.
