> 3 dayDidnt work for me. I assembled everything as instructed, Pi 4 powered on but there was no signal coming out of the micro HDMI ports. I tried on another power supply from my other Pi4 but still no luck. I then opened up the case again, made sure the included expansion board fitup was snug. Reassembled the case, plugged it in and it did power on, but there were still no signal. Returned mine for a refund. What a bummer.

> 3 dayAwesome case. Cooling qualities of the metal are very sufficient and then you have the cooling fan. Would buy again.

> 3 day30mm fan is so loud with its high pitch. Could have been perfect if not for the fan.

> 3 dayThe product advertised is V2 of the Argon One case, which possesses HDMI ports instead of micro-HDMI ports, however, I received the first version, which only has the micro-HDMI ports. I needed the product immediately so I had to buy accessories to make up for the error. I would very much like the correct version mailed to me.

> 3 dayIts really good at protecting your Raspberry Pi 4, it has good thermal dissipation, and the idea of the magnetic cover for the GPIO is excellent. It adds to the size of your Pi, but I find it totally worth it.

> 3 dayI really wanted to like this case. When it did work it was great! The problem is that it wont work consistently. If I power the RPi up first and then turn it off and shove it into the case and power it up again it seems to work. When I leave it in the case powered off for a few hours and then try to turn the RPi back on it will never do so. I can then remove the RPi from the case and it works without issue. Ive reached out to support a few times now but they never respond. Cant recommend purchasing from a company that wont stand behind their products. Im also using the included power adapter they provided with the case so it shouldnt be a power supply issue. Ive heard the case is power hungry and that should be covered. Such a shame...

Greater than one weekI was excited to get this case, despite it being about twice as expensive as my FLIRC cases. The case I received had some significant gouges in the finish of the magnetic lid, and the lid is slightly warped or bent such that one of the corners on the top of the case (at the highest point) sticks up noticeably higher than the other side. I am very disappointed, given the premium charged for this case. I have not tested both HDMI ports, so dont know if I will find the same issues that others reported. Cooling seems on par with FLIRC cases - I havent had issues with either when stress testing @2.0GHz. Wouldnt recommend this case for more than $15 given the poor quality finish and bent top.

13-06-2025This case so far has been fantastic! I wanted to max out my 8Gb raspberry pi and this case allows me to do that. The installation was straight-forward and everything worked first time. I installed 64-bit Ubuntu Mate and was able to find scripts that allowed the fan and power switch to work. I think I googled Argon 1 rPi fan script ubuntu and found links and a great tutortial. Overclocked to 2GHz, ran a lot of heavy programs, and the warmest anything got was 64 deg C. The Pi starts to throttle at 80, and I never got close to that. Because I was planning to overclock, I got the fan and the Argon power supply to handle the extra load. I have a lot connected to my raspberry pi and will probably get the M2 case when it comes out. Definitely recommend this case.

> 3 dayI wanted SO much to like this case. It looks fantastic; its ideas are a step above most cases (daughterboard to get all ports on one side; power button on case; passive and active cooling; etc). I just really really wanted to like it. However ... it just doesnt work. Tried repeatedly to get it working, but nothing. If you get a unit that works, its probably an awesome case for you. For me, it didnt work, and Ill move on to a different case. Pros: * aesthetic design * functional design * features Cons: * daughterboard ports dont line up quite perfect with case cut-outs (not a huge deal, as they still worked, but it just doesnt look quite right) * it doesnt work. nope. nada.
