I recently bought this set of 24 Premium acrylic paints based on the colors in the set and the lightfastness rating, thinking that a painting using these paints would last a very long time...wrong! IMO, Arteza was very sneaky in how they list their lightfast ratings. They use the ASTM (American Standard of Test Measure) scale of I-III, with I being 100s of years and a III being 15-50 years. When you look on their tubes or their boxes, every color got a III, with the exception of Orange Yellow, which got a II. This means that if I want to sell one of my paintings using these paints, I can not in good conscience, as I know this painting is going to start fading very quickly. This is extremely important to me! Other student grade paints like Liquitex Basics use the same lightfast system, but 44 of their 48 (set) got Is and the other four colors received a rating of II. Artezas paints though beautifully packaged, smooth to paint and having a lovely range of colors will be going back. If the years these paints are going to retain their original color or hue is not important to you, then this is a great set. They just do not work for me.

I bought these paints for my daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves them! She is not a beginner artist and she said these were the best paints she had ever used. Will definitely continue to purchase them.

Bright colors, just over them

I paint miniatures and wood carvings and I’ve struggled to find paint that works well. These spread better than others and seem brighter.

Great texture, most of them are semi opaque. Beautiful colors. I’ve done some really pretty work with these. Some bright intense colors and plenty of neutrals too.

I was a bit skeptical at first after seeing this brand and product all over YouTube art channels. But I can totally see what all they hype is all about. These are great colors and they are all almost opaque with one coat (with the exception of a few but you have to expect that). They are not matt when dry but very shiny so be careful if you put another painting on top even after it’s dry because I did have some pealing but it was a easy fix and I plan of sealing my paintings so it’s not a big deal. But what really blew me away were the metallic colors they are so shiny and opaque. I’ve had a hard time finding good metallic paint so I definitely will be buying the acrylic metallic set next time I get the chance. My only complaint and I’ve had this problem with any brand and paint set is how many of each color shade they put in. Such as only having 4 oranges but 11 greens or having 2 purples but 4 metallics. It’s just a bit frustrating but these paints work well with other brands so the lack of purples isn’t a huge deal (I can’t mix purple to save my life) lol But great paints for beginners or more advanced artists love them and will purchase more of their products

I use these paints a lot to work on many different projects. They have a good texture and the colors are so pretty and vibrant.

Ive used this for several different projects and have been pleased every time. They layer well and allow for combination without getting washed out into a general muddy color. They have a nice texture popping off of canvas and are easy to use for both detail and thick brush strokes. Theres a nice combination of colors as well.

These bright and vivid colors and a great and surprising variety of colors have made my foray into decorating Tee Shirts just plain fun. The paint works well with plastic stencils, and even with free-hand painting. Use brushes, sponges, or even spray bottles (with the paint diluted some). For the reasonable price this opened a whole new area of creativity for me.

Great purchase if you have grandkids. We paint rocks for hours. A little paint goes a long way so it it an excellent value. Easy to clean up with just water. Since we put some rocks outside I spray with a clear coat of spray paint.
