> 3 daySo I bought this laptop for my dad to replace his old laptop that was getting slower every day. I could have just upgraded the memory and put in a SSD but the laptop was over 5 years old. I did some looking around around and this laptop seemed to be what my dad needed. Fast processor, SSD drive, backlit keyboard and lightweight. I checked around looking at reviews on various websites. The biggest knock I saw was that 4 Gbs of the memory built into the motherboard so I would only be able to upgrade one chip. It wasnt a big deal, I bought an 8 GB chip and upgraded it to 12GB. The laptop was fast, the amount of crapware was low and all was well as I transferred the data from his old laptop to his new one. Then I noticed the one flaw... It has no SD card slot. My dad has an older DSLR so he takes the SD card out of his camera and plugs it into his laptop. I do the same with my MacBook because my DSLR is also an older model without built in WiFi. My dad who had liked the laptop so far immediately complained. I had to order a USB hub (on amazon of course) to make things right. I would have gone the full 5 stars if it had had a SD card slot.

> 3 dayAsus is the worst company for hardware and customer service. Bought a gaming laptop and a month out of warranty the motherboard goes bad and the computer won’t work while plugged in. Asus won’t do anything for it. They want me to pay to have it shipped in and repair for 2/3 the cost I paid for the laptop. Crap customer service. Won’t buy another asus again

Greater than one weekI am incredibly incredibly frustrated and disappointed with this purchase. I bought this laptop new, because I needed a laptop with the specs for a coding class I was starting.
