This is the most color accurate monitor Ive ever owned, and that is straight out of the box without calibration. The rest of the features are just gravy. 4K is the perfect resolution for 32 inches. For gaming its amazing; youll see whatever the developers wanted you to see (only caveat is HDR is not the best so Id turn it off, also 60hz is the highest refresh rate). On top of that, even though this is not meant as a gaming monitor the input lag is very small. Ive had gaming monitors that tout their short input lag which feel the same as this. On top of that, the number of inputs as well as a USB hub built-in makes this an amazing workstation monitor. Even more wonderful is the PIP and PxP or PxPxPxP (thats right you could have up to 4 inputs in a grid!) makes this a multi tasking dream. The stand is solid and feels premium and has a nice range of movement. My current setup is: PC connected with DisplayPort to enjoy RGB 10-bit 4:4:4. 60hz is fine for me because many games with raytracing at 4K wont go too high above 60 fps anyway. Fire TV Stick 4K HDMI 2.0 to get streaming services at 4K (Streaming services in PC havent caught up to the digital rights the streaming devices have yet except for Netflix if you buy a codec from the Windows store. Also, the chroma subsampling of all streams and even Blu-ray is 4:2:0 as far as Ive learned so HDMI 2.0 is plenty as far as video goes.) The monitor has speakers and audio out via 3.5mm which go into my speakers. PS3 into the other HDMI port In conclusion, I couldnt be happier about using this monitor. All you need to do is make sure your devices meet the specs in order to fully use what this monitor is capable of. The only improvements would be higher refresh rate and better HDR (but an OLED might be more suitable for that).

Brightness and volume cannot be controlled by your Mac keyboard or on-screen display. You must control these settings through the puck or the buttons on the back of the monitor. Otherwise, this seems to be a high quality monitor. The stand is nice and sturdy, and allows a lot of movement. I returned and replaced with an LG 27MD5KL. Yes the LG is a couple hundred $ more expensive, but it works seamlessly with my Mac (and its 5K, not 4K like the BenQ)

HDMI socket was defective on my unit, which was a deal breaker. Otherwise the panel quality was extremely good. Even though the panel had 3 dead pixels, the very high pixel density meant these were barely noticeable. No problems with the color gradient or contrast. Super nice monitor overall. My unit having a defective HDMI socket was probably just a manufacturing outlier.

I was a little skeptical about this brand, but after some research in designer community blogs, I learned BenQ is a reputable brand. I was less skeptical when I committed to purchase the monitor. It arrived in time, worked right out of the box, set it up to my standards and so far it has been working great. I am happy with the product and quality to this day. I hope stays this way for a long time. If you are a designer in a budget and looking for a good monitor that will help you in your work. BenQ has you covered :) Perfect Size 24” Resolution is great 1440p Colors are perfect 100% RGB

I bought this monitor to edit photos with a Mac mini m1. The monitor out of the box worked well and was easy to setup The manual was hard to find and there where little details of help on the website. However the user manual is listed on the page for the monitor on Amazon so download that. It explains how to setup the monitor for your needs. It like all monitors takes some adjustment for your use. I will be getting Datacolor SpyderX to adjust it. For my use The controls are easy to use once you understand the symbols. The monitor has a wide range of ports to suit your needs which is a help. The stand is very sturdy and the part than latches on to the monitor is metal which is good IMO vs plastic. So far given the price , color representation and features I am happy with it.

I love this monitor. It has a few things I dont like. Plugging in cables in the back is awkward and hard to see. The back cover is hard to put on and remove. I use it for my Mac Pro and when I plug a USB into the monitor to charge my phone, keyboard, mouse and stuff it works but you can only see if its recharged when you unplug the device. It doesnt update.

So far so good. I have two of these monitors, one hooked up via the thunderbolt cable, the other via HDMI to my 2020 M1 Mac Mini. Both are working perfectly so far, I note that some other reviews have commented about flickering problems. I did have one issue with flickering on one of the monitors which was resolved by some re-boots and uninstalling the print-pro software that is used with the BenQ monitors.

Bought two of these after some light research concluding the worse that can be said about these monitors was that were good but not great. I used this in a dual setup with my old 27 4k through an FireWire/USBC adapter to displayport from the monitor single FireWire to my Mac for video,USB camera and power and it works great. This was the priority for me. Screen took some adjustment to contrast and sharpness but finally got it to my liking . I use it for office work, no gaming, but my wife uses hers for design work.

I have been using my BenQ PD2725U since mid-July, 2021. At the time, I tried a handful of monitors before settling on this one. Unfortunately, it has not survived my initial impressions nor lived up to my expectations. Recently (i.e., today before I started writing this review), Apple asked me to tweak some settings on the BenQ PD2725U to see if they had any effect on an issue I am having with my mouse cursor jumping between the PD2725U and my MacBook’s built-in display. I set the PD2725U’s KVM Switch to Thunderbolt 3, regardless of signal input—i.e., Video Input › None and Auto Switch › None. From what I can tell, these KVM Switch settings along with the Signal Input settings should use the specific input rather than automatically switching. Confusingly, there is also an Auto Switch › DP Auto Switch setting unrelated to the KVM Switch settings, which I have also disabled (this prevents the Signal Input from automatically cycling back to Thunderbolt 3 if I specifically set it to DisplayPort). But when I restarted my MacBook, an external drive I use for data and Time Machine backup didn’t mount—apparently, my changes to the KVM Switch or Signal Input prevented my external drive from connecting (which a factory reset of the monitor corrected). This is one area where I think that BenQ’s QA process fell down. The changes I made should not have permanently broken the USB-C connection from the monitor to my drive. But. They. Did. As for the display itself, I have 4 quality issues. (a) There’s a _ton_ of light bleed around the edges of the display—not visible in a well-lit room, but when the room is darker, very apparent. (b) The display occasionally starts to flicker—there’s no clear cause and I’m not really sure how to fix it except that poking around the settings for a bit, disconnecting and reconnecting, eventually resolves the issue. (c) The contrast setting is absolutely useless beyond its default of 50%—go above that even 1%, and the colors wash out and distort immediately (how is that for a “designer’s” monitor?). (d) I have a BenQ Screenbar Monitor Light, which anyone would reasonably expect to work _perfectly_ with a BenQ monitor—however, the PD2725U is too deep for the Screenbar clamp/hanger, which as a result must aggressively dig into the PD2725U bezel and causes gaussian-like distortions at the top-center of the display. In short, there’s a lot to be excited about in the PD2725U’s specs on paper. But the reality is that all that _stuff_ just makes for a complex, under-tested product. **Edit:** When I first wrote this review, I attributed the mouse cursor jumping issue to the PD2725U (as I noted above, Apple support seemed to think that some of the PD2725U settings might be to blame). Since then, I purchased an LG UltraFine 5K (which is designed jointly with Apple for Macs and iPads). And the cursor still jumps so the PD2725U can’t be the culprit. :sigh: So I bumped my original 2-star review to 3. The PD2725U is neither terrible nor great, just okay.

I waited for a few months and finally snatched the tiny window during which this monitor in stock and ordered it. After using it for a week or so, I am overall quite satisfied. Pros: 1. Display quality. Color. This monitor replaced an Apple Thunderbolt display Ive had for years and the display quality is definitely better. Also I like the matte finish which reduces glare. 2. The KVM switch is great. I use it to switch between an 2019 Macbook Pro (connected via a single Thunderbolt 3 cable) and an older Mac Pro (connected via DisplayPort + USB). After configuring the puck, I can KVM-switch between the two machines with a single click on the puck, which is fantastic. Thats my main reason for choosing this monitor over Asus PA32UC or LG 32UL950, and I am glad that it has worked out beautifully. 3. Being able to rotate the monitor vertically does make it easier to connect cables particularly if you dont have room to walk behind the monitor. Cons: 1. Speaker is way under powered. This is a design flaw. I am not demanding any pro-level sound, just enough for me to watch YouTube without having to put on my headphone. But the built-in speaker is insufficient for that. I had to buy a pair of external speakers for that. BenQ should really have put in better speakers, particularly given the thickness of the panel which should give enough room. 2. When I look closely, there is an uneven gap between the display rim and the glass panel at the bottom, showing that the assembly has clearly rooms for improvement. Given this is cosmetic, I am willing to let it go. But the hardware fit and finish is not Apple-level for sure. 3. The documentation (particularly, for the puck configuration) also has a lot of rooms for improvement. I had to make a few guesses to figure out what it is trying to say when configuring the keys, as there are keys on the puck, and keys behind the monitor. The documentation should have been more clear which key 1 and key 2 it is talking about. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase. The KVM function has more than made up for its deficiencies.
