These are replacing 10-year old versions of the same which no longer easily retract or release. If they hold up as well, they may earn another star.

I cant believe I had never heard about these before because they are so awesome. I have gone through two sets of transom tie-downs in the 6 years Ive owned my boat including a $55 set I bought at West Marine which I believe was the most expensive ones they had. These boatbuckle tie downs were easy to install on my magic tilt trailer as there were already two holes exactly where I needed them. They are so easy to use it is like night and day compared to regular tie-downs.

Don’t know how I got along without them.

I used these for my Triton pqc trialer. Might have went a little over board on the size these are pretty big. Should have probably gotten the smaller size ones. They did not come with 4.500 bolts so that a down fall for me.

These tie downs are super convenient! Ive only had them for a few months, but they really simplify the process. Pull, the tie down out, attach to boat, ratchet once or twice and you are done. I can see where a little lube might be needed periodically on the mechanism, but so far so good.
