Used for sparring - heavy bags and focus pads. Great for all.

Ive had these boxing gloves for a week or so and Im super impressed with how well they are put together. The leather and stitching is amazing quality. In terms of comfort, the gloves fit really well and dont move around when in contact with the heavy bag. I have a feeling these gloves were built to last. Highly recommend. Great job Byakko.

- The gloves are really comfy so far. I like the width and stiffness of the writ wrap. Gives good support when throwing punches and striking. - Gloves feel really well ventilated. Might be more so right now with them brand new and stuff, but enjoy the vent hikes in the thumb, fingers, and how high up the slit in the palm goes. Can actually feel cool air coming though over my hand when flexing it. Should help keep them from getting super nasty and general comfort level when using. - Padding feels pretty good and shape of the gloves fits my hand really well. - Leather cover on the glove feels really nice, but I’m unsure on how well it will hold up over time and if I’m tossing it around in my bag, at the gym, in the car. Leather material feels a little in the thin side and worry about catching it on something sharp/rough and it tearing. May not actually be an issue and maybe is something that has been tested in R&D. -Overall design of the gloves look good. I love the overall dark appearance. Nothing too flashing, but still easily identifiable as its own brand.

These are great gloves mt son is learning how to box so I for him these for our station at home .

I purchased these to use at my local gym. I’ve used these for 2 weeks so far and they are durable and have the perfect amount of padding that I was looking for. I’m a beginner and only doing boxing for cardio but when I compare these to my last everlast pair I actually like these a bit more. I don’t sweat as much in them and the strap appears to be a lot tighter. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a new pair.

Im over the moon with this pair of gloves. The fit is fantastic and theyre so comfortable. I like to use the 16oz pair so when I do fight, wearing a smaller pair gives me the freedom to move faster and harder. The quality of the leather is incredible, especially considering the price! Shockingly good gloves, and Ill be ordering another pair of these in the next few weeks

I got these gloves for hitting the heavy bag at the gym. I used them for the first time today and was very pleased with my purchase! Good gloves make a huge difference in hitting a bag! I ordered the lightest (10 oz.) because I dont plan on doing any sparring or fighting. I wanted fully enclosed, boxing style gloves instead of open finger, MMA-style gloves for the heavy bag to protect my fingers/hands from injury. I broke a thumb in a fight a few years ago (my own bad form) and dont want to take a chance of injuring myself again. The attached thumb will protect your thumb from sticking out or snagging on the bag (or opponent.) Additionally, the enclosed style is conducive to making a solid fist and protects your fingers from injury. All my fight training is from my time in the military, and I have very limited formal boxing training, so I was happy to find that that BYAKKO Sports has free training information on their facebook and blog. I definitely recommend these gloves! They are high-quality, durable, well crafted, and they look cool!

The quality of the glove is exceptional for the price point. And most gloves this cheap when you throw really hard punches leave some type of impression on your hands while these do not. These gloves will protect you. The padding is a medium semi soft version that is good for both heavy bag or sparring. The impact face of the glove is rounded not flat so if you do prefer a flatter face glove that gives a more resounding smack on leather this is not that glove. Overall these gloves outperform the budget entries from Century or Everlast by a factor of at least two times and come in cheaper than both.

I’ve used several brands like century, everlasting, and ringside. Ringside was my favorite but Byakko are my new high quality gloves. I was impressed with the level of bag work I was able to do comfortably. I don’t roll my wrists and the padding takes the impact from my punches beautifully. I haven’t worked on the bag for years and the quality of these gloves have me back in the gym enjoying myself. I highly recommend them!

Unboxing: Packaging seems to follow industry standard as they were shipped in a reusable storage bag with mesh outlining. Gloves seemed to be well made as the Velcro was strong and the padding within the gloves seemed durable. First Impressions: I had the 14oz glove model. Upon putting the gloves on, I noticed quite a bit of wiggle room in the thumb section of the glove which could be a result of my hand size. Putting them on felt excellent, the main portion of the glove was form fitting, and the bar that is sometimes around the fingertips was well placed and soft. Usage: I tested these gloves with 15 minutes of pad work and three rounds of sparring all done without wraps. The balance of the gloves was very nice, as I did not feel as if I would lose control over my strikes. Throughout the rounds, there was not a single instance of my gloves coming lose which I ascribe to the design of the internal compartments of the glove itself and the overall construction of wrist straps. I felt that they were well suited for sparring, and flexible enough to do other calisthenics like burpees and push-ups while wearing them.
