Very expensive but arrived on time

i bought and installed the Black XL ink, on July 3 of 2020. Here it is the 11 of September and I have printed fewer than 25 pages and the black tank if out. This is just unacceptable.

Ive been using the Canon Pixma 2300 for several months, and the XL ink has been holding up fair., nothing like Kodak does but I cant use the Kodak with this laptop. Until this last new XL color cartridge I installed just yesterday, Printed less than 100 sheets and its already gone and my next ink order wont be here til Wednesday. Cartridge before this one lasted a full month and printed probably 250 sheets that are a combo of PDF color images and text. What makes the difference of output when they are both XL?
