It works better than the tuner in my TVs and this seems to be true among the TVs I have tried. There is also a USB port to insert a flash drive and record programs. It also plays them and an assortment of other file types. It wont play from my portable 4GB hard drive, but it will play from a flash drive. The flash drive was not recognized when I formatted it with exFAT, I had to try again with FAT32. This device can format a flash drive, but I used my laptop to format it. The quality of the recording is as good as the signal it receives, but I am technically behind the times with my newest TV being ten years old. I have not tried anything above 1080i if there is even a selection that has a greater resolution than that. My vision is failing, so it doesnt matter anyway. It is possible to make a selection from one of the menu items that can render the screen black. If you remember what you did, you can back out of that situation. Where I used to live, there was over a hundred channels although many were not desirable to me since I dont watch infomercials, buy things from the TV, speak Spanish or Korean. For clarification, you can watch one channel or record one channel at a time with this device. It can pass the antennas signal to your TV if the TV tuner works well enough. I had three of these recording programs while I watched a forth channel. This quickly got out of hand, because I dont watch much that much TV anyway or I would consider cable or satellite.

This is a cool idea. I’ve cut the cord on cable so no live tv But the idea here is that you pick up tv over the airwaves that’s broadcast I think. So should allow for tv channels anyway basically that’s being broadcast. Cool idea I think

I get no channels no matter where I put it. My old antenna broke and it still works better broken then this one

My Daughter bought this for a required course at JMU, and amazingly, she loved it. As she put it, the mix of mythology and ancient history made her enjoy the reading assignments. This is high praise from a computer nerd who seldom reads anything not connected to a video game or D & D.

    Excellent underrated tome.

Do yourself a favor and get one of the flat ones. The antennae inside is literally a two inch or so long aluminum rod, the reception is far worse than others I’ve used no matter how I positioned it.

This was so easy! Took it out of the box, hooked it up and we instantly had television!

Cape Wrath Trail is a challenging route from Fort William to Cape Wrath. It is around 200 miles long and passes through some of Scotland"s wildest and most spectacular scenery. The trail has evolved from use and is not an officially recognised National Trail. There is no single definitive route. There are various ways of tackling the traverse all of which are highlighted on the maps leaving the actual route choice to the individual walker. This is rough country not to be underestimated.
