> 24 hourThis unit is small enough to conceal easily and the USB ports are sturdy and the cords are about 6 inches long to place where needed.

> 24 hourI bought this as part of my Acuras entertainment system upgrade to add a second USB port. The primary port is from the updated carplay stereo. I ended up mounting the USB in the dash panel under the stereo using two square USB connectors and attached this to one of them. NOTE: I am only using ONE of the USB ports from this device. For my use case, this unit works great.

> 24 hourI used these to install dash cameras and the last batch has had three fail out of four. It appears that they are overheating when installed between the headliner and roof of the car, causing the power to cycle on and off (or just stay off) going to the USB port. This might be good for a home project, but I strongly recommend going a different route if you are going to use these in a car.

> 24 hourThis gadget is a great way to hard-wire USB powered devices in your car. Whether thats a dash cam, Alexa, radio detector, or whatever. This makes it a snap. All you basically need to do is wire this to the hot side of your fuse block and forget it.

> 24 hourThe usb output of this isnt 5V but 8.35 anything that is sensitive like an esp get fried by this, even a pi that has its own overvoltage protection wont stay on for more than a few seconds when being powered from this regulator.
