I brought a large case for my holiday and found it easy to manoeuvre and carry around, the wheels seem sturdy they were ok going across cobbled streets.

This comes in a box, then comes with a plastic bag. With plastic wrap around the handles. Unzip it, and the second suitcase is in plastic, with plastic wrapped around the handles. The smallest suitcase has even more plastic - by the time you have unwrapped everything you have enough plastic to make a fourth suitcase! However the wheels work, it turns, and there is no fault I can find, except the zipper can be a little bit fiddly. Just run a little bit of dry soap bar along the teeth of the zipper and it fixes itself.

I bought this suitcase for a journey I had to take during the pandemic, and I wanted something that could be easily disinfected. Disclaimer: This is my first 4 wheel large suitcase, and my first suitcase to be split in the middle instead of a “lid” suitcase. I bought a large size in white. As with any 4 wheel suitcase I wish it had a pram style lock on at least one wheel so it didn’t slide around if you left it upright on public transport. The wheels however don’t have that much movement that they live their own lives, and fly off the tube the second the doors open, like some 4 wheelers can. I still wouldn’t leave it upright unattended though. The suitcase looks classy and feels sturdy, with a semi-well functioning lock mechanism and two different compartments. The four wheels make it easy to move around, but on uneven terrain I had to pull it on two wheels. When doing this I did find that the handle was a bit short, and I would’ve also liked a longer handle in general so I could comfortably rest something like a rucksack on it whilst rolling/pulling. The lock is easy to use, but I found that I have other suitcases that have an easier time locking. The sliders of the zip fall out of the lock easily as you’re trying to put them in, and though that is only a small critique, I have other suitcases with the same locking function that works better. The suitcase holds a fair deal, and it isn’t so stiff that you can’t squeeze a bit extra In there. Obviously not as much as you would with a fabric suitcase, but it does allow for slight overpacking which isn’t always the case with hard plastic suitcases. The weight of the suitcase itself seems to be standard for the material and size. The biggest critique I have of this suitcase is that when you close it the seam of the zip doesn’t align properly which makes it very hard to close. You have to lift it and align it yourself, and then zip it without dropping it or it will lose the alignment. Once it is aligned and you’ve started zipping it does complete without issue, but the first bit is tricky. This also isn’t helped by the fact that the suitcase is split down the middle, meaning you have half the weight of the suitcase to hold up whilst zipping. I am a petite woman without much arm strength, and I was able to do it on my own, but it wasn’t pleasant. With a smaller suitcase where the half you lift is lighter this won’t be an issue, but if you have any kind of mobility or strength issues in your arms I think you’d struggle aligning the zip and closing it on your own due to the weight and alignment issue. Although that issue is not enough to make me stop using the suitcase, it has put me off buying a similar style again. If I were to purchase another suitcase I would sooner go for a “lid” style which requires less strength and faff. Overall, a perfectly functional suitcase that does its job well, but not the ideal match for me.
