CatGuru Food Table (Purple)

> 3 dayI bought this expensive piece of plastic to put under another expensive piece of plastic. The pet guru bowls DO NOT WOR. My cat ends up pushing food all over the plate, getting frustrated, leaves his meal. Then food dries out and gets stuck all over the bowl and this stand that holds it. My pet is fine eating from the floor. This was a total waste of money. Do not buy catgut products - they are way over priced!

> 3 dayThis base is very sturdy and does not slip. We bought it to hold the stainless steel bowls made by the same company. After a while, washing the bowls became a hassle. The stainless steel bowls have a rubber gasket that needs to be removed and reapplied each time they are cleaned. We discovered this base holds 6.875 inch Dixie brand paper plates perfectly. If you put three of them in there, they don’t slide around. Now we just toss the paper plate at the top and replace it with a fresh one each day.

> 3 dayIve always heard it is better for cats to not have to bend down so far when they eat, so I thought I try these feeding tables. The cats didnt seem to mind the change from eating off a lower dish but its too early to tell if it is an improvement for them, or just different. The only negative so far is that the ceramic and metal dishes we use to put the food on that set on the tables tend to slide around more than they did setting on a vinyl floor cloth. That does seem to frustrate at least one of our two kitties. Im reluctant to use the tables as the food surface without those bowls on top simply because the tables are made of plastic. Overall, the tables are a nice design and the right size and shape to provide a better eating position. Follow-up to initial review: Well, one of my cats likes their food elevated ... and one doesnt. He was fine with it initially but after a couple days I caught him picking his kibble off piece by piece onto the floor with his paw. I guess he didnt read the vet recommendations that its better to have his food elevated. Oh, well, I tried. So, its a great feeding table IF your kitty finds it acceptable, otherwise, youve thrown your money away.

Greater than one weekSolid and sturdy cat food table. Easy to clean, and clean modern look. Only complaint is i wish it was just ever so slightly taller. Almost seems silly that the idea of a food table is to bring the cat for upright for eating, and this is so low it seemed odd at first. But the cats use it and dont seem bothered by it.

> 3 dayThese tables do fit the Cat Guru bowls perfectly but I really wouldnt recommend them for the price theyre being sold. I did return mine but if you just have to have them because you have the bowls and are willing to pay $13 - $15 for one stand, then go for it.

> 3 dayWorks great with any shallow dish or bowl. My cat eats her food more quickly and doesnt have to bend down, so I can tell shes more comfortable and definitely approves of the change! Any spills from wet food clean off super easily with a little hot water and mild dish soap. If youve had any issues with your cat eating slowly or having an upset stomach / throwing up, I would definitely try using a raised table like this.

> 3 dayLearned our cat was experiencing whisker stress at meal time and our vet recommended different bowls. Found these tables with the accompanying dishes. Our cat is no longer having mealtime stress, is eating better and we no longer have to give him an appetite stimulant to get him to eat. By having these tables raise his dish up, he isnt bending down, doesnt get the hiccups now, and isnt upchucking anymore after meals. Bought enough to have plenty clean ones on hand. These stay put, are easy to clean and are probably what all cats should be eating out of for a healthy mealtime in many levels.
