If you have a set bore you are working with, this tool is amazing to use. Soo much better then any adjustable one I have used in the past. It was so easy, I thought something was wrong.

These are inexpensive enough for the shade tree mechanic to own even if you only do 1 motor. I have used the universal ratcheting band type and have cut both hands. This tool makes installing pistons a breeze.

Works as it should, makes the job fast and easy

Have always used a ratcheting style clamp to set pistons in and sometimes have issues where Id have to start over, but with this device the positions dropped right into cylinder with a couple of taps.

A awesome tool and well worth the money if your rebuilding a 4.8l or 5.3l ls engine.

Very well made, had to return, needed the 4 inch size.

Just a quick review to say thank you for producing a great quality tool at a reasonable price. I finally did my 5.3 LS rebuild over the weekend and this ring compressor was indispensable. No sliced fingers, no crooked pistons! I will buy another one every time I need to rebuild a different size engine.
