I did not know that Corel is still around. Its a blast from the past. So note this review is a first impression review, Ill add more as I use this program. I was using a slideshow/video maker that was preloaded on my computer and it was ok. It was very basic, not alot of flash but it was easy to use to be able to put together a basic slideshow from my pictures. I opened this up, at first look, the project page can look intimidating. Theres just so many options to this VideoStudio. YOu have to really step back and get your bearings. If you have used any type of slideshow program you can intuitively figure some of the things out. However, I did open up the user guide and use it to guide me to begin a project. After messing around with it, I can get the basics of beginning a project for my slide show. There are many options for adding titles, transition, music and overlays. What is cool is they have these templates where you can just have Corel put a slide show together based on which template you want to use. Its suppose to select the best pictures and format base on the template. If you want a simple option, this is a good choice. So far I am able to figure out how to start my yearly family slide show. What I love is that I can save the project one one computer and then transfer it to another computer to work on. I really like that option. I did not give it five stars because I just started using Corel. I will update this as I use this.

I got this because my daughter likes To make videos. It turns out that this is the very basic installation and to do anything extra requires that you buy expansion packs or add ons. Kind of disappointed that this isnt really described in the description of the product. But overall the software is easy to use and will allow you do some very basic video editing. We havent played with the Slideshow at all. Maybe after we buy some of the more advanced features the software Will become more useful.

This is a great option for video editing, even if you’re a newbie to editing. Easy to read formatting that is very user friendly and tons of useful options for adding edits to your videos. This is a must have for anyone who likes to create/customize video.

I received this through Vine and expected all parts to be included. The upload takes about fifteen minutes and has many tutorials on how to begin using the software. For me as a beginner I was excited to see all the instructional sections. However, I didnt expect two upgrade options either. The Corel software from years ago was always complete and never had to be upgraded so Ive taken a star away. As for being a beginner type set up they have done a good job, however again having to buy add ons at this price is a little much. I get android phones because I dont have to pay for apps. I dont like paying once and then finding a little surprise during set up. Four stars...almost three. I seriously dont like add on gotchas, Id rather you up the price and include every single little thing. It makes me feel like you got over on me. Too bad because Corel is a good product. If I didnt like the instructional parts so much Id have taken another star away.

First of all this only gets one star because I have to give it at least that to submit the review. I got this to edit videos. It does not perform as shown in the description or the video. Very hard to work with and u have to purchase all the options even though u already paid for the editor. After waiting 5 hours for the editor to render my video for YouTube it then tells me it’s to big! This is after I had to allow Videostudio to know my personal private information to sign into YouTube! If it was to big it should have told me that before I gave up my information! I cannot get my money back as this is a non refundable non returnable item. I’m extremely pissed about that! I wasted my money n still need an editor! The free editor on my phone works way better n has more options n it’s free! Needed an editor for my videos I record with my camera! Please don’t buy this! I hope this review helps others to save their money in the future!

Ive been using Corel video editing software for a decade. Home stuff with family, projects for kid schools, etc., but the version Ive been using was 7-8 years old and feeling dated. This new version is a great upgrade. Its always been fairly intuitive and easy to use, so you can be up and creating videos in short order, and now the interface is familiar but improved. The include sound files, graphics, effects, clips, etc. are all top notch (love the included royalty free sound clips). I feel like Ive only scratched the surface on what it can do, but its been able to do everything we need it to (and my son got a A on his last school project using it, so thats something!) Ive stuck with Corel Video Studio for 10 years, after trying several others, because it really is the best value for what it is. There may be more powerful programs out there, but the learning curve is huge on some of them. For the majority of users out there, this is their best bet.

So far very good. My son loves to make YouTube videos and really likes this program. Very easy to use.
