It is very soft and supple. It is the right size. The fabric smells like burnt chemicals. Airing it out in hopes of reducing the manufacturing odor.

were dealing with extreme rain and cold here in CA so i bought two for my cockatiels to hopefully keep them warm. Noticed they prefer using it during bed time. One bird def loves it more than the other (the other prefers a fluffy pillow like bed i have for them) and loves cuddling next to it at night. Hope it provides them some extea warmth!
