> 3 dayDidn’t realize how some socks are SO much better than others! I think these socks are expensive, but they’re worth it! I’d been having trouble with my socks rubbing my toes raw when hiking or going for long walks, tried one company’s who advertises not having a seam in the toe, but they did have a seam and they were so thin! After doing more research I found Darn Tough, and these socks are so comfortable even on long hikes, or just wearing all day! No more raw toes from the seam rubbing on the ends of my toes. These have a seam but it’s placed in a different area than most socks. These socks have a lifetime warranty too, plus they’re made in the USA! Customer Service at Darn Tough was excellent! Try a pair, check Darn Tough’s website to make sure you’re getting the right size first. They have sizes for men and women, and I believe they have children sizes too, but you’d better check that to be sure. So I’m in the process of buying a pair of socks once a month until I have enough for at least 7 days. Yeah, expensive but definitely worth it!

> 3 dayVery comfortable hiking socks! Great for preventing blisters. Liked the colors too -- true to picture for the turquoise and pink ones.

> 3 dayThese socks made my feet feel stuffy (in 60 to 70 def F weather), and within the first hour of hike I can feel my feet sweat (I dont have that problem with thinner socks or cushioned running socks). I wore them with sneakers that have mesh for ventilation too. I imagine itd only be worse if I wear them with hiking boots.

> 3 dayAlas, I had heard wonderful things about Darn Tough socks, but I found these to be somewhat tight around the legs. Theyre wearable for short periods but I wont be buying more of them.

08-06-2025Ive looked high and low for comfortable cushioned socks that are not made of wool. Wool hurts my feet. Until now, everything else not made of wool seems designed to chafe the foot despite descriptions of being anti-blister. These are the first socks Ive found with tightly knit cushioning that actually feels pretty soft against my sensitive foot instead of almost like sandpaper. It also does not have other roughness element inside the sock such as excess thread between knitted elements or a knitted logo in the foot bed (even Smartwool socks, that I used to be able to wear, havent figured out that knitting their logo into the foot bed can be felt by a sensitive foot). As a bonus for me, these socks are keeping my feet pretty cool and dry compared to socks I had been wearing. After trial runs with a couple of pairs of these socks, Im buying more. Ill pay the higher price for these. Less expensive socks are poorly made and hurt my feet.
