We’ve been using these for a couple of months and they couldn’t be easier! A lot of my mom friends use Poly-Vi and you have to give a full 1ml per day of medicinal-tasting vitamin D. This is one drop of tasteless vitamin D with the added benefit of a simple formula (two ingredients only and no additives!). The dropper makes it really easy to dispense one drop at a time — you just tip it upside down and one drop at a time comes out slowly. I would definitely recommend these to any BF Mama out there looking for the purest and simplest vitamin D supplement for their little ones.

Easy to dispense onto a bottle. I used to put a drop inside so the baby wouldn’t notice it but it doesn’t mix with breast milk very well and since you’re not supposed to shake breast milk, it’s just easier to put it on a nipple, even if it slides down just tap the nipple on the baby’s nose and they’ll open so wide the whole nipple will go in, they don’t even notice the drop or they’re so hungry they don’t care. I like these better than the droppers. I was using the enfamil drops and the dropper sucked big time. I could never get a it filled past .50. This method is so much better, just one drop and it comes out the same every time, no measuring, no hassle.

I really like that this contains only vitamin D and coconut oil. It is supposedly tasteless, and has no odor or dyes. It is a small dose, which is great because it is easy for my baby to take- and she hates taking anything (i.e. gas drops or gripe water, which she mostly spits out). I should note that the liquid is very runny and when put on a fingertip or the nipple of a bottle it immediately runs down and becomes impossible to be sure the baby can get ALL of it. The same is true for adding it to the milk. So for me it works best to let the drop fall into the cup shape on the underside of the tip of a nuk pacifier, then place the pacifier upside down in the babys mouth (kind of using it like a tiny spoon) and rotate the pacifier back upright as she begins to suck. Overall I like it and will buy it again.

So unlike with my last babies this is simply put on your finger or nipple and then given to the baby rather then with a Syringe. Sanitation wise, I don’t love that I put it on my finger and then in my daughters mouth. I usually just try and tap it out onto my nipple instead but then it’s hard to tell if I dispersed a drop or not. Sometimes I tap it once and get a giant drop other times 3/4 times before one comes out. Overall those It’s a nice product. Overall I believe infants need the extra vitamins and this is the brand my pediatrician recommends and trusts which is why I switched to it. he’s a great doctor with many years in the field and I’ve been with him since the birth of my first so I trust his recommendations.

I’m not sure if they work because we haven’t had my baby’s vitamin D checked, but it is easy enough to use. My son actually loves to take the bottle around with him (10 months old) which is an aside, but very cute. I do wish it dropped out faster, but I understand the speed is standard for the dispensers design.

My doctor recommended these with my first born since you only have to do one drop a day for breastfeeding babies since they don’t get a lot of vitamin D from breast milk and has worked for all 3 babies that I have had with no issue.

The product is fine and great concentration but to be able to give one drop to my baby is very hard. I may spill one or Two before it happens. Dispenser is not great for babies

I really like this vitamin D drop for my baby. My baby is 6 m+ now, and every day I give one drop to his mouth. The drop is really accurate to drop. So this is my third bottle now. Will definitely refill once is running out.

Initially, because Im a breastfeeding mom, my doctor recommended Di-V-Sol. It was syrupy and disgusting. My daughter hated it and nothing I tried prevented her from spitting it out, creating a sticky mess all over her face, neck and fingers. I switched to this with my pediatricians blessing. The important thing to remember, and the reason I think more pediatricians dont recommend this, is that unlike the Di-V-Sol, where an entire dropper is one dosage, with these, just one drop is the dosage, so its important not to give your child too much. Its best to just put a single drop on your finger or nipple, and then putting your finger or nipple in your childs mouth, rather than dropping it directly into your childs mouth. As long as you do that, theres really no reason to go through the hassle of administering an entire 1ml syringe of Di-V-Sol.
