Decal Setting Solution-Micro Scale Micro Sol 102 + Micro Set 101 Package Decal

Im still not sure what the value of these solutions are needed. I spilled most of it anyway.

Tamyas solution, Markfit Strong, was a better product and doubles as both a decal set and decal solvent

Id never used a setting solution before but found that it made decals easier to slide off their backing, position on a model, and then adhere to the plastic surface. Now I will definitely use setting solutions on decals and I might be more open to using decals instead of rub-on dry transfers. If you havent used setting solution, it is well worth an experiment. I bought and used the product recently, so the jury is still out on long-term adhesion.

Always worth it. Used with modern decals these two solutions work as advertised. Older decals, from the mid 90s or so back, in kits may tale some extra work to get them to settle properly but this is still better than not using them.

For being the first time using these products, they worked rather well. The one solution, Micro set if I remember correct, allows you time to properly set the decal. After dry, close thereof, apply the Micro sol like the instructions say along with instructions for Micro set, apply the Micro Sol. Leaving it alone providing that the decal is where you want it, The Micro Sol dries, COMPLETELY dry dont touch, all the detail comes thru giving it a more realistic look to it. For the first time using these products, they did the job.

Both worked well for applying waterslides on my guitar head stocks.

the Micro Sol performed miracles on the decals of a 45 year old Revell model kit. I didnt think they would survive but the solvent helped them adhere beautifully.
