Went to plug in the last part and it totally ripped the threads apart. Now my Ipad is worthless

I needed to replace a failing iPad Air battery. Immediately broke original digitizer screen trying to install new battery. Returned battery and calmed down. Ordered another battery AND a replacement screen. Took my time removing broken screen (cant really hurt a n already broken screen) and failed battery. Installed new battery. New screen did NOT come with new adhesive strips but the battery did! Unfortunately, no way to know which strips go where (the original adhesive strips are destroyed when removing the screen). Installed new screen. Everything worked for 4 days then when I pressed the HOME button, the new screen broke - WTF! Returned the new broken & defective screen and ordered this one. It was cheaper and came with pre-installed adhesive strips - yea! By now Im getting a lot of practice removing and installing displays and digitizer screens. Took minutes instead of hours. Screen fits very nicely, works as expected and I used a heat gun to warm the adhesive up to ensure a strong bond. I would recommend this product.

Ive changed lots of screens. This replacement did not work and no, it was not another issue with the iPad. Unfortunately I did not have time to return it so Im out the money I spent on it. Buyer beware, mine did not work.

I have replaced my iPad Air digitizer 3 times over the years and this one had the best packaging by far. It was well protected from any shipping damage and included all the tools needed for a flawless install, with the exception of the heat gun. I initially freaked out because they had taped the cords to the inside of the screen, until I realized that there was a protective film that needed to be removed.

The adhesive to hold the screen in released in less than an hour.

it is a package well done with all necessary tools and details. it is so much better than other LCD screen products in the same category that i bought. highly recommend it!

Be sure to remove adhesive strips on screen , they are very fine and easy to miss which will result in bad adhesion! Besides the home button being deformed and rough its a good digitizer.. but its a value play so.

Screen functioned for 5 days past the return time then failed home button issue I would guess as it goes black after booting hit home button comes back up for about 3 to 5 secs then black again very disappointed would not recommend , adhesive was not good I wonder if this screen had been used before if I could return it I would .

Quality A Appearance A Packaging A Adhesive A Tools A- Instructions D- Dont take on a screen replacement project unless you are competent repairing a variety of things and have a lot of patience. I replaced the screen on my Ipad Air. Overall I was very happy with the product. There were no instructions about how to install the screen and the video was only partly helpful. In the end the screen was installed and I am happy with the results. Installation requires patience. The toughest part of the repair is getting the old screen removed and installing the ribbon connectors. It is tough to get the screen removal process started. Dont rush it. To remove the old ribbon connectors took two minutes. To install the new connectors took 45 minutes. This is not a defect in the replacement screen. It is related to the original design of the Ipad air. The screws are very tiny and easy to lose. Put them someplace other than to of your desk or workbench. Losing one will dramatically extend the repair time.
