> 3 dayThis was a replacement for a 12 year old monitor. I dont game, so I went with an average rating for that. Im good with the quality and brightness. I do have 2 minor gripes, however. First the power button is a tiny little nub on the bottom of the unit. You have to use your fingernail to activate it. Second, there was no instruction manual included. I needed to make a screen adjustment and had to go to another computer to download the manual. Even a quick start set of instructions would have helped.

> 3 dayGood monitor for general use but no USB ports on the monitor to add any accessories. No place to plug in headphones, Has HDMI so if you get the newest pc with commport architecture, you have to get different cables (port to HDMI).

Greater than one weekPROs: easy access to connectivity ports; great color definition and contrast. Makes it much easier to read. CONs: no speakers so I was glad my laptop has a port for my headphones: Attaching the stand wasnt as straightforward as I expected; It tilts some but doesnt raise or lower, so I had to use a book to get it to the height I needed it to be.

> 3 dayI ordered two of them for double monitor display. They are perfect for working remotely. Easy setup, clear image, work great. Only thing I wish the height is adjustable.

> 3 dayEven though the first one I received didnt work, the second one was great. Very easy to setup and looks great. I got this so I could increase the size of the font (my eyesight is maturing) and still get a whole spreadsheet on one screen. Also, Amazon makes the return process so easy it is always the first place I shop.

> 3 dayKeep your expectations tempered and realize that this is NOT a gaming monitor, but its great for most other work. The primary difference between this monitor and a similar, $600 Dell I use at work is that blacks are NOT black here; theyre dark gray. I havent had any issues even with some pretty advanced photo editing, but this is NOT a monitor for graphic professionals. If your work requires perfectly accurate colors for photo or video editing, buy something else (that costs at least twice as much). But for normal, non-graphic-professional uses -- including photo editing and light gaming -- this is a great buy for the price ($299 is what I paid). Text is extremely clear, videos look great, and I had no issues on set-up; everything was plug-and-play out of the box. I DO wish it had a real users manual. Instead, the manual supplied (and linked from the Amazon page) is just a useless how to hook it up set of images that most vendors would be embarassed to include. I want to expect more from Dell, particularly considering the poorly constructed menus they include on all their monitors, including the expensive ones. One note: Despite it expressly not being a gaming monitor, its fine for non-AAA games. If (like me) you just play older games and dont need a ridiculous refresh rate or perfect blacks, its fine.

Greater than one weekI replaced my beloved, very old Dell 22 monitor with this one. It is nowhere near as good as my old one. I watch all TV and videos on my desktop, and the motion blurring on this monitor is bad. Maybe it bothered me because my old one was so much better. l also notice less resolution--some pixels at the fine edges in photographs. If you just need a monitor for office work, this one is fine. The color seems pretty good.
