Dell S2421HS 24 Inch Full HD 1080p, IPS Ultra-Thin Bezel Monitor, Silver, Black

This is a great entry/mid level monitor. I have no issues with this and like that it the monitor swivels both left and right and and be positioned vertically. The image quality and responsiveness is extremely quick with no glitches. I use this as an extended monitor display for work and for personal use in photography, surfing the web, working in Excel and its great. Not flimsy at all, the stand is functional and stylish which does not make it an eye sore.

I am an application developer (programmer) during the day and a hobbyist photographer with dreams of making it big someday in the photography industry. This monitor is amazing for both. This monitor is both a horizontal and vertical monitor. It works in both orientations and is simple to rotate. I set this up next to my normal (horizontal) monitor in the vertical orientation. It is awesome for web browsing, Microsoft Outlook (or similar email program), Twitter, and portrait photos. Generally, anything where you have long-form scrolling, this works great. I originally thought the bottom bezel with the Dell log was going to bother me when I put it in the vertical position, but it hasnt at all, and I dont even see it anymore. This is a great monitor for vertical tasks and makes a nice wide monitor for horizontal tasks. Overall, I am very pleased with it and recommend it.

The monitor works great, but beware of the SHORT power cord that comes standard with this Dell monitor. The power cord is a laughable 3 ft. Assuming you set the monitor at the edge of your desk and your power outlet / surge protector is elevated (not on the floor), youll be fine. Otherwise, this length of a cord will only reach about halfway down the desk. Expect to purchase a replacement power cord that is longer. I have owned many Dell monitors before and the power cords have always been longer than this.

This is a great monitor for my second display. It isnt as hefty as my main display for hz output, nor is it as color accurate, but it does a great job for what I need it for. It is used as a information monitor for when I am doing work or playing a game but need to keep an eye out for something. It is a good display that I would recommend for someones main, with it having freesync at 75hz and very good color accuracy, with some bright spots on the screen when blacks are shown. I would not recommend it for high action competitive games, but it would work for most gamers out there who happen to be more laid back. Honestly, the big thing here is how amazing it looks and, while I have it mounted on a arm, it has an amazing stand. It allows for up and down adjustment. This monitor happens to hit a good sweet spot for cost vs performance. There are faster hz monitors for the price, but they lack the color and clarity this has, there are options that have better stands, but they are more expensive and honestly dont look as good or professional as this does. The design on this is good and I am happy with it.

Perfect monitor for work

I needed to setup my home office with two monitors. One of them arrived with a shattered screen. The box was perfect so no idea when it wouldve been manhandled. Bottom line is they are honoring the return of 1 monitor and cant sell me a second one! So I will be stuck with mismatched monitors! Why cant new things just arrive the way you ordered them. I would expect this from little mom and pop sellers but I had higher expectations from Dell. I spent my money on 2 identical monitors Im now stuck with this one and I dont think its fair.

This is clearly not a top of the line monitor, nor is it advertised as such. Theres not much in the way of bells and whistles, but it does the basic job of being a solid monitor at a good price. Ive had it a little over a year and had no troubles with it. If it dies on me before the five year mark, Ill see if I can remember to come back here and add that little tidbit. So far, so good.

Upgraded my home office and got two of these Dell monitors along with a Dell D3100 unit which connects to my laptop via USB 3.x and allows me to connect three additional monitors. My old Inspiron 5559 works just great with all three items. Monitor pictures are sharp and crisp. The height adjustment along with the tilt is extremely nice to get just the right view. Thin bezel is excellent. No regrets.
