> 3 dayThis may be a little higher priced than some other chemicals that claim to clean electrical contact surfaces, but this stuff works! The needle applicator is great for getting the right amount of DeOxIT where you want it, without the overspray (and waste) you often get with aerosal applicators. A great product that I use often--because it works.

> 3 dayI purchased this product because I have long since recognized its excellent de-oxidizing properties and have previously used the same product in a spray form. I now needed a larger quantity because it has saved me so many times from disasterous situations where nothing more than a bad or intermittment connection has caused one of my electronic devices from working. I like the long needle applicator and am better able to control exactly where I apply the product. I am always amazed when a failed device comes back to life after just one application of this product. It is now my Go-To solution for any failures that could involve a dirty contact or oxidized contact or something that just plain doesnt work when it should. This has saved me an untold number of hours in trouble shooting time and I would never want to be without this as a first step in trouble shooting appropriate circuits.

13-06-2025I just finished my other unit which was a smaller squeeze tube. This is much more quantity and allows for better precise application. I have another spray which is for harder deeper reach areas. This model wont lose pressure which is great over long time ownership.

> 3 dayRelegated to electronics this might provide some benefit but for wiring on motorcycles and cars, it really doesnt do much. This cleaner never really gets past the tarnish/corrosion on copper wire. I tested two pieces of the same wire, one dipped in vinegar and the other had Deoxit applied. No comparison, the deoxit did virtually nothing even after hours. The vinegar was a drip in, rinse and then spray with one of those moisture removing formulas found in auto parts stores and it was as clean as new. Sure, there is the idea that vinegar is an acid and could compromise the wire but Im not talking about dunking the insulated wire in it, just the end that is bare where a connection is made. After cleaning, a suitable film barrier will keep the connection working properly. I imagine that much of the claims made about deoxit come from just disconnecting and reconnecting the wires that dislodges corrosion and really has little to nothing to do with the deoxit. Unlike silver where the tarnish layer doesnt affect current capacity, on copper that isnt true and that is where the simple disconnect/reconnect improvement has some real benefit. In summary, for the rather high expense, save your money, this isnt going to clean copper wire any better than any other cleaner that costs far less and cant come close to some household methods that cost almost nothing. In all fairness, Deoxit might act as a barrier to reduce corrosion after cleaning with something else but given that the company seems to have a multitude of liquids for various steps the idea of cleaning contacts and wire connections for automotive type uses can quickly become more expensive that a new wire loom.

> 3 dayI have been using Caig Lab products since the 1980s! Originally, their deoxydizing product was called Cramolin. They had to reformulate it to conform to new regulations. It is now called DeOxit. Available in 5% spray can (D5), or in 100% concentrate (D100L), accept no substitutes. Go to the Caig Lab web site and see which companies use Caig Lab products, including DeOxit. (Tip: one of them is NASA!)
