Klein tools maybe pricey but they are worth every cent. This set has pocket tester, ncvt, outlet tester and a voltage meter, and worth every penny.

A good combination of test equipment for the everyday electrican.

Heard a rolling noise coming from the case and looked inside. Found a ball bearing rolling around inside the case! So, is my unit missing a part (ball bearing could be from the selector switch)? Is someone elses missing a part? Is one of their machines on the line missing a part? Is their quality control person missing a part (I suspect this is obvious)? Then, when I call them, the guy laughs. Yeah, OK, laugh. Im not the one who has loose parts making it into packaging while boasting of being made in America. Keep looking for another brand. Theyre not it!

Only issue is the inductive probe is super sensitive! Good luck identifying a individual wire. Youll need a regular meter for that. It is great for knowing if a box/area has a hot wire and keeping you from being shocked which I guess is the point.

Electrical test devices in this kit have great potential for household projects and auto repairs. However, operator instructions are too brief for the novice user. It would be very helpful if a booklet was included that describes applications for using the various components within the test kit and also how to interpret and apply various readings.
