Everyone freaking out needs to just take a breather and relax. I bought this from Amazon since it was a 3 pack deal. I thought the viscosity was different as well and noticed it was missing the bits also. I compared it to the one I bought at my local CVS. The info on the back of the packaging says U.K. where the the CVS one says CT for Connecticut. So it looks like the one from Amazon is made for Europe, that is why its different. I also took pics of side by side of the soap itself as well as the packaging. You can see that the for yourself the one from Amazon says UK. Europe most likely have different rules regarding what goes into products or maybe test marketing revealed they like more watery soap without charcoal bits in it..who knows. Anyhow, its not a knock off its just from a different country. Nevertheless, the seller should have noted it in the listing.

As expected

I bought this soap in a store during vacation, loved it, but then couldnt find it near home. Therefore, I decided to order it from here. The soap on this page smells great, but it does not have the little exfoliating bits of clay or charcoal or whatever was in the one I bought in the store. One of three things is going on. Dove changed the formula, this is discarded product from Dove that was accidentally manufactured without the exfoliating bits, or its straight up counterfeit.

I got these because the charcoal+clay are hard to find in stores. These are not the same as the ones you buy in a store in the US. Apparently these are the UK version? I’m not sure, but what I do know is the scent is almost non-existent on these. I like charcoal+clay because your mom can smell it on me for hours after a shower. This soap from this seller, barely last minutes and doesn’t smell as good. It also doesn’t have the micro scrubbing beads in it. I wouldn’t order these again and just go back to getting them from the store.
