> 3 dayThe USB is at minimum width so it does not crowd the adjacent port(s) unlike other adapters. This has allowed me to use a high quality Plantronics headset for video conference calls and is a large improvement over the earbuds that I was using.

Greater than one weekI had a lot of trouble with the built in sound card on my gaming motherboard. People I played with always complained that I was hard to hear or that it sounded like my mic was far away. This adapter solved my issues. I’m guessing it’s because my headset has a high impedance microphone. Another reviewer suggested this product for those cases and it worked perfectly!

Greater than one weekPlug it into a USB port and you have the headphones output and microphone that used to be ubiquitous on laptops. No problems so far. Would definitely order again if the need arose.

> 3 dayHere are the good and bad on this product. . . ADVANTAGES . 1. The product works very well. It replaces the audio output in my laptop and desktop computer, that went bad. There is no static or any audio distortion. . 2. It is plug and play. Just insert the device into a USB 2.0 port, wait for a few minutes for the computer to recognize and connect. Everything is done without a driver installation. . 3. For $10, the adapter is a steal. . 4. It is the highest rated USB audio adapter among Amazon users. On September 24, 2020, 77% are 5-stars. . . DISADVANTAGES . 1. There is a significant loss in loudness, a 5 dpi loss. However, this can be compensated by installing two freeware: FX SOUND and VIPER FOR WINDOWS. In the settings, just adjust audio output to the max. . 2. It took 20 days for the product to arrive. . . ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- . . UPDATE 1: The product died in two days. Luckily, I purchased two. So, the defective was replaced; and the music continued. Let us see how long the second will last. . . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ . . UPDATE 2: The manufacturer replaced the defective purchase. So far, the device worked without any problems. In fact, it operated better than the motherboard audio module that went bad. There was no static, hum, or another objectionable background noise, that are common.

Greater than one weekI had a driver issue with HP on-board audio not supported in Windows 10, this worked as soon as I plugged it into a usb jack ! after a few days Im updating my review/rating for the following issue. Please read the whole thing. Ive got my PC connected to a set of fairly nice Cambridge Soundworks powered speakers (my former employer) Im getting two thumps (from the speakers) when I power up the PC and one thump when powering off, as the speakers remain powered at all times. This may just be the nature of a USB audio device as it is powered up with the PC. Windows 10 does not allow me to delay the audio service startup in services Im thinking that may have fixed it. I just dont have enough information to determine if its the fault of the USB Audio adapters design or inherent in any device of this type. I will investigate further and talk to someone who might know more about D/A circuit design and I wouldnt mind hearing from the seller, who appears to be the manufacturer as well.

> 3 dayI did not use the microphone input on this device but have been using the speaker out connection for a while with a pair of Logitech speakers. When I first started using this device it showed up in the device list without any issue. But I noticed I seemed to have to turn the volume setting much higher than when using the speakers plugged directly into the laptop port. That would be fine as the speakers were plenty loud enough (using only for teleworking meetings). But anytime someone is talking there is lots of static when the person is talking. It finally got annoying enough that I stopped using this adapter and started plugging the speakers directly into my laptop port. Speakers sound fine when plugged into the laptop so the static is definitely coming from this USB Audio adapter.

> 3 dayThis is an amazing Adapter. I purchased a Beringer and a Zingyou microphone...Lets just say neither of them were compatible with each other. Thank heavens that this adapter allowed me to separate my headphones from my mic. There was no feedback from the mic due to the adapter... the adapter that came with the Zingyou mic created so much feedback.... so I am very satisfied with this adapter replacement.

> 3 dayWindows 10 recognized this right away. I havent lost any volume control or loudness and the mic works well. I bought this so I didnt have to yell into into my laptops microphone whilst playing online games. I have a nice headset that I bought and this product compliments it nicely.
