> 24 hourI was told via email that this wouldn’t work with my TV and sound box..and that it should be returned. Yet it works and serves its purpose. I don’t know why I was told to return it..can you explain it?

> 24 hourThe reason I wanted this product was because my laptop lacks a mic input and I wanted to get some kind of inexpensive audio interface that would allow me to take an auxiliary cord that I connect to my Nintendo Switchs headphone jack and record the audio from the Switch directly to my computer. That said, this product did allow me to do that - I can hear and record the output of my Switch from the computer. The audio itself is crystal clear. However, I did notice two things that I will need to update this review about in the future. The first is that, there seems to be a lot of background static coming from the device. This can be due to many things, but I know its not Switch because its not there when using headphones on the switch. Its either the computer or this interface. Now, its not so much the static is absolutely unbearable... its just more than you are expecting - really I feel like there shouldnt be any static because there is no true mic going in which would often be the source of it. I am using a TRS cable and not a TRRS cable, but that shouldnt matter as there is no mic output from the headphone jack... its just stereo output. Also, I did notice the volume seemed kind of low at first - and wanted to point out that if you navigate to the driver properties of this device, and check the Custom tab, you may see a AGC checkbox (Automatic Gain Control). The moment I checked this box - the volume immediately jumped to full line level and the static is much less obvious against the full volume of the Switch. Even at these levels, the audio by itself was crystal clear. This will work for now. Considering this was a $10 item as opposed to spending $30, $50, or even $100 to get a more production level audio interface - this was a great value to do what I needed. That said, something I didnt consider is this device cant take the stereo sound of the headphones and keep it stereo on the mic side... the cable is expecting a mono mic... so the stereo is lost on the way in. Im okay with this... I didnt really need the stereo for my purposes - but ideally I would have it. Its not the devices fault - but for anyone else that might use this device like how I did - you may want to instead get an auxiliary to L/R RCA adapter and route the RCA to some other kind of interface. That would be more appropriate. I did email Dukabel about that static issue and am waiting for a response. Will update in the future about it. Update: Dukabel responded to me (apparently from their Marketing Director) - and they wanted to make sure I was absolutely satisfied but felt that given how I am using the product in a way they didnt intend for they offered me a full refund and told me I didnt need to cover the cost of shipping. I politely declined their offer because I can still use the product for what I needed and the problem I was having with it was something I could overcome. I must say - I was not expecting Dukabel to be so responsive and supportive - because to me they are a company offering fairly simple products and probably dont have the full resources of other larger companies - yet they went out of their way to assist me. Im in the process of email exchange with them to see if the static is really something on their product or my computer - because one of the tests I ran showed the static was present without any input. So its not having to do with what or how I connected it - its either the interface or my computer. It really could be either. But I still recommend this product especially if you are using it for the purposes they designed it for. If it really isnt working for you, itll just mean you will have to look elsewhere and should easily be able to get a refund. Unfortunately, I cant comment on those needs because Im not using it that way.

> 24 hourThe sound quality through these is fantastic. Not a hint of buzzing or distortion when using with my headset. The big issue, however, is that the usb position is very sensitive when it comes to recognizing microphone inputs. It takes a minute adjustment to one position to register voice and if it deviates from that position even slightly, the microphone will not register input. Tarnishes what is otherwise a pretty good product. Edit: After leaving my initial review, the seller contacted me attempting to rectify the issue, offering a full refund. I messaged back stating that it was possible that I just received a defective product and inquired if I could receive a replacement instead. The seller obliged and within two days I have received the replacement. The aforementioned issue of microphone input seems to be gone. The USB stays in the port snug and secure. Overall very happy with the product and the level of customer service I received. 3 stars to 5 stars.

> 24 hourUpdate: I strongly suspect that the replacement wont last any longer than the last one based on my previous experiences with all USB to 3.5MM adapters -not just Dukabels- so I wont be changing the content of my review, but I think it should be noted that Dukabel got back to me within 8 hours of my request for a replacement! Now thats impressive, regardless of my feelings about the product. Not only were they prompt, but also friendly. They offered me either refund or replacement, without having to ship the cable back to them or go through some long burden of proof process. Importantly, this was before my 3 star review even got approved, they were just that on the ball. Original Review: This is my second purchase of this product, and sadly, this USB male to 3.5MM Aux female adapter is like all others I have thus tried, in that it breaks far too soon even if you are careful with it. Crackling audio, channel dropouts ETC. I dont know what it is about these things, but I must have tried half a dozen of them from all different brands by now, and the best lasted me 4 and a half months. It really doesnt seem to matter how much you pay, what theyre made of, or how trusted the brand name. Sure, the ones with the cable VS the USB stick type tend to last longer, and youre less likely to break the thing physically with a nice braded cable and metal connectors, but internally the results are always disappointingly predictable. If youre buying it to bypass a broken jack, just dont. Dont be like me and keep trying these stupid things, just shell out for a local computer shop with good reviews to fix your headphone jack, youll spend less in the longrun. Otherwise, the sound was fine -not the best Ive tried- and the physical connections were very solid. But I still would never recommend this, or any other similar product. If someone would just get their act together and make one of these which is actually as durable on the inside as it looks on the outside, Id pay twice as much for it. I very much doubt that Dukabel will be the ones to do it though...

> 24 hourThis is light and compact, but of remarkably sturdy design. Works wonderfully, especially with older models of computer, which is rare. Im working with a surface pro 3, running Windows 8.1, and I struggled to find a compatible product, but this immediately and painlessly integrated. Im enough of a technology veteran that I was very skeptical of immediate plug and play but the set-up took less than five minutes, and the headphones came online even before its completion. For anyone else struggling to understand the differences between adaptors: his is for an integrated headphone and mic. So, theres one standard 3.5mm headphone jack on one end and the other plugs into any USB port; you wont want to get this if you need to, for example, plug in headphones as well as an external microphone. But for your standard headphones without a lot of bells and whistles, you cant find anything better or cheaper to replace a defective audio port.

> 24 hourI bought this cable so that I could hook up my small soundbar to my new computer doc, which did not have the round audio plug on it. This converted the signal to USB which hook right up to the dock, and the computer recognizes it as basically a sound card. Audio works great and you can control the volume with your keyboard buttons for example. Just a piece of advice. Make sure that the male to male audio cable is in good shape. I initially hook this up and it didnt work however after swapping out the cable at work perfectly.

> 24 hourI use this for work and had tried a few ways to get my nice TRRS headset to USB. This was the answer that stuck. A year into using it I bought a second one to keep in my work backpack for travel with my travel headset.

> 24 hourBought this to use with a MIC+Headset with 1/8th inch output. I was intending to use it for some audio recording from voice for notes and for some Discord and other similar uses. Works flawlessly and perfectly on my mac and it works on windows 10 as well.
