...but set aside a lot of time. No instructions come with the part and you will have to search HARD on YouTube for multiple videos but you can do it. Just make sure the white plastic ratcheting cog that makes the vacuum stand upright or tilt is positioned the same as when you took it apart. That was the hardest part for us.

While repairing my Dyson DC41, I noticed that the yoke was also broken. Buying this part saved me from having to spend $470 on a new Dyson! You can not even tell it’s a replacement!

This part broke on my Dyson, they dont sell this part on their website. It was a bit of work to take it all apart and put it back together but this replacement appears to be a good one. Our Dyson is back to functioning as it should and the whole process was a good opportunity to give it a good enteral cleaning.

Worked great on repairing our Dyson DC41 vacuum, just be patient and remember how all the parts go back together...esp the white gear for upright position holder.
