Take what you thought you knew about these bags and throw it away! Their old white bags were junk. They made excellent, but awkward streamers. So easy to shred, but a little weird to be decorating your kids party with poop bags. These new bags are a million times better. The bar was set pretty low before, so no, a million is not hyperbolic. Here are some ways the green bags are superior to the white bags: -I was able to pull one bag off the roll without it ripping. -I was able to opening the bag without it ripping. -I was able to clean up after my dog without it ripping. -I was able to look at the bag without it ripping. As a bonus, the company is great too. I told them about my poor experience with their old formula bags and sent me a pack of new ones. No hassle.

So, Im outside in the early morning; its 18 degrees, ready to scoop up the waste my dog just deposited on the lawn next to the hotel where we are staying. The layers of the poop bag are stuck together. I take off my gloves - brrr! - and try with bare fingers. No luck! I lick my fingertips to get more grip; success, it seems - but then I realize I have opened up the seam on the side and what was a bag now is a napkin-like sheet of thin, slimy plastic. OK, I think, lets try another. By now my hands - with wet fingertips - are shaking in the cold wind. Alas, the same result - a napkin-like sheet of thin, slimy plastic. Thankfully, I was able to find a blue plastic bag from the New York Times in my coat pocket. Not environmentally sensitive, but at least it works, Oh, yeah - these bags really are thin, If I had gotten one to work, my hand would have quickly been warmed by the steamy poop inside.

Fittest bag we opened ripped. We have s Golden & the bags are not sturdy enough.

I try to use biodegradable poop bags whenever possible, but most of these ripped when I was separating them or trying to open them. They werent a bad size (I have a German Shepherd) and fit my dispenser, but neither of those matter when half of them ripped open and resulted in my having to use a second bag or a plastic bag.

I would say we prefer this type of bag, compostable, but at this price cannot continue to buy them. Higher stars if better priced.

I have an Alaskan Malamute whose twice-daily bowel movements would likely tip the scales at over a pound each...and these bags handle it all without a leak or a rip so far. (And usually, he poops while we’re out running, so the full bag bounces around in my hand until we get to a trash can.) The see-thru-ness is a bit disturbing, but it’s not any mystery what the woman walking the dogs and carrying the plastic bag is toting around even if the bag was completely opaque. The only downside is that these things are near-impossible to open after they get wet (from sweat, rain, trips through the washing machine, etc). Where other bags survive a full washer-dryer cycle and come out popped wide open but otherwise no worse for the wear, these will shrivel up. So I usually keep these in the dispenser, instead of my pockets, for travel and casual walks, and I keep a pantry roll of the green bags to fold up and carry in my pocket for runs and hikes.
