> 3 dayI enjoyed this movie and have watched 2-3 times in the past 3 months or so. Suggest you consult bluRay.com for a professional review of its contents, technical visual and sound quality. In short, not for someone looking solely for sexual thrills but rather for one who seeks a serious plot with a few very sexually charged scenes ..all in context of the plot.

> 3 dayKind of has a basic there and back again plot. No character arcs. An arrogant exploration of banality. Might have been funny with an REM soundtrack, everybody hurts.... sometimes.... Instead they ripped off classical music.

> 3 dayThis is simply an awful film every way you look at it. I would rather have teeth pulled than have to sit through another viewing. Binoche is one of my favorite actresses, but I was really ashamed to see her associated such unbelievable trash. Vive La France!

> 3 dayOK fellow movie fans, let me be honest with you, this movie is awful. If you feel that watching a woman get urinated on is art then this is a great film. I never understood why make these films when they are soft porn with a plot. Stick to the real thing if that is what you are after.

> 3 dayAlmost interesting but the internal conflict with the main protagonist (played by Juliette Binoche) is poorly developed.

Greater than one weekSomehow french films usually do not have a happy ending no matter what. They are more inclined to be about a reality in their society and life in general. They usually expose the more sordid and sad aspects of their society . Great acting and good subject to expose. Juliette Binoche as usual is a great actress.

> 3 dayWhatever the implications and motivations are, Elles—the female form of they in French—doesnt spell them out, preferring to let us draw our own conclusions. The reductive suggestion that all women are whores and all men essentially johns certainly plays in here, but the film is more complicated than that, recognizing that sex itself is complicated, a once-simple evolutionary imperative thats now tangled up in the web of human consciousness. In its non-procreative form, its ideally a mutual expression of love, but the film portrays its darker side as a commodity to be bought and sold. A power to wield. A source of frustration and a vessel for misplaced desire. This might be nothing new, but Małgorzata Szumowskas provocative treatment of the topic makes Elles worthwhile, and something more than just a showpiece—which it also is—for Juliet Binoches significant acting abilities.

> 3 dayIt seems like Ms. Binoche is receiving fewer roles that are of an interesting subject matter. But she still peaks my interest, because I keep hoping she is actually challenged by her movie career field. Shes beautiful women that has depth. This role did not fully challenge her, and allow for more exposure of skin. Im a fan as you can tell, I hope to see her in future films. Foreign movie stars are becoming more, popular once again.
