Elmers Disappearing Purple School Glue Sticks, Washable, 6 Grams, 12 Count

This was a great deal for us to donate to our daughters classroom for special projects. Elmers is always a trusted brand.

I have a love-hate relationship with glue sticks. They never hold quite as much as Id like and it can be tough to get the glue where you want it; despite the stick, the glue tends to ball up here and there and not cooperate.

No complaints on Purple Sticks that dry clear!

Using to seal envelopes and attaching labels on paper adhesion fails each time had to use cellophane tape to reinforce envelope seals. I guess it is not designed for permanent sealing. Also the caps are very difficult to remove I had to use pliers to remove caps.

Good size for preschool children to grasp. The purple color is great to show where the glue is being applied and then dries clear so as not to ruin a project. One of the sticks actually lasted long then I expected, which was a nice surprise.

I finally used up a Sparco glue stick, .88 oz., after many years. Ive used it mostly for gluing computer-generated mailing labels onto packages to be mailed by USPS. These Elmers Washable Disappearing Purple School Glue Sticks did the job for me. Its nice that the glue spreads purple but quickly turn transparent. The mailing label seems to have stuck onto the package very well. If the package gets caught in the rain during delivery, I wonder if the Washable attribute means the label could come off, but I dont know. I wish the package had indicated that the glue forms a permanent bond. At .21 oz. per stick, these are much smaller in weight and diameter of the Sparco glue stick, roughly one-quarter the size, so it took a bit more time to cover the surface. The writing on the sticks, such as Made in China, is very difficult to read, being small black text on a dark blue background.

Its glue. I cant really say much more about it.
