eMedia My Violin - Learn at Home

I bought this book for my grand-daughter who is interested in learning the violin. although she doesnt have one. . But after just watching the jprogram, there is no real lessons to be learned here. I sent it back.

I have always wanted to learn to play the violin, and happened to recently recieve one.

My daughter (5 1/2) is in love with this program. Though I sit with her for lessons, shes able to easily use the program and understands all of the functions with no confusion. The combination of videos, pictures, and sound clips make this very clear and the pace is good. We did over 2 hours our very first day! Every morning, she rushes out of her room wanting to do her violin lessons--were now looking at purchasing the piano course as well---I just wish that they had more titles!

I love it! It is explained very well and the repetitions and games are wonderful. I could not stop playing it.

i gave this and a violin to my daughter for her sixth birthday, we have just started it and I am blown away! It makes me want to go and by myself a violin to learn with her. It teaches care for you instrument as well as general maintenance. It does not start you out playing twinkle, twinkle or Mary had a little lamb, it genuinely shows you how to play your violin, how to hold your bow, and techniques to improve your ability. Teaching for enjoyment of music is the way we want to go and I think this is a wonderful way to start.

This product is for the person who knows exactly nothing about playing a violin. It starts with the basics and works its way up. This is exactly what I was looking for. You can spend as much time on each lesson as you wish. I have not completed all of the lessons, so I dont know how advanced the lessons get.

This is a terrific product. Not enough words to tell you how good, you should not be sorry! Purchased for my 4 1/2 year old grandson and Nan enjoyed as well!

I started playing the violin recently and thought I had few classes before, this PC tool is a great way for children and adult to learn the fundamentals of the instrument. Simple and direct, the many lessons (with your own personal virtual teacher) allow you to understand the basics in many fun ways and tricks when it comes to handle a bow, And trust me; its ALL in the bow. I enjoyed it, and expect my future kids to enjoy it as well.

I just got my copie of My Violin today in the mail. After playing with the program for about 3-4 hours, I have to say I LOVE! it. I am 31 years old, and Im just now begining to learn the violin. I have had no priore contact with reading music or ever playing it before , which is why I picked this program. It was ment to be use for children 6 and up, and my only thought was, Hey if a 6 year old can learn to play violin off this, then maybe I can as well. The program is truly simple to follow, easy to understand, mixes video and visual componates at EVERY step, and passivly teaches you how to read music and learn rythm. The instructor obviously loves teaching and is very friendly and easy to understand. It is a bit childish in its content, how ever it was designed for children! as an adult beginner i realy recomend this program not only for kids, but anyone who may have a hard time learning. The use of games to help remember the lessons and the use of video help was ingeniouse. This program gets a full set of 5 stars from me. *****
