This camera is a high quality Dahua OEM international version. When I make a decision on what camera to buy, I choose this seller because I know Im getting an international version with upgradeable firmware and not a Chinese market camera with hacked firmware that might revert back to Chinese language if updated. To date I have purchased 8 Loryta/Empiretech cameras and had no issues! VERY happy with my purchases.

I have moved over to using Dahua (Loryta) cameras after my Lorex system died from an unfortunate lightning strike. These cameras are in a completely different ball game when compared to the quality of image and ease of adjustment of the Lorex IP cameras I was using. The night time images are better in every way. I initially ordered one to try out to see if I would want to order more and have since ordered nearly a dozen of them. Andy is also very helpful with firmware updates and any questions about settings and issues. I will definitely be ordering more when I look to fill gaps in my coverage.

Initially bought Lorex 4K cameras. After doing more research I returned them and went with 2 empiretech dome cameras and nvr. Cameras and system is top notch - better than reolink, ubiquiti, etc. in my opinion. Night vision is top of the line. I will note it is not necessarily a plug and play system. There is some set up on the front end but Andy is extremely responsive and walks you through it. DMSS app is not perfect but does everything I need - live feed, push notifications, playback, etc.

1 mistake in the ad (it is not a wireless device), but they contacted me to clear it up. Spent a great deal of time on the phone with Jeff from Empire Tech, after I had returned the camera. He was *extraordinarily* helpful. I learned more in that conversation than I have in a several weeks of research. Dont think Ive ever had that level of service!! I was in the market for quality IP CCTV cameras with starlight capabilities. Doing some research lead me to EmpireTechAndy store on Amazon. Once I saw they offered 5442s in black I needed them. I have black trimming around my house and these blend so good with the home. The sensors on these cameras allow full color night vision with any little ambient light with the starlight capabilities. Im looking to purchase 2 more of these and will do so at my earliest possibility. EmpireTechAndy also provides excellent support should something come up with these.

Descent camera for the price. They are quick and easy to setup if your fairly tech savy. They operate on poe (power over ethernet) but they come with the option of using an injector for power, which is pointless if your running cat 5/6 ethernet then just use poe (a powered switch). I only wish the imaging sensors were larger, they are 1/1.8, which is about 1/2 an inch (0.555in). Youll probably have to tweak the settings for a while at night to get the best performance in your night time lighting conditions as they vary per location. Day time is pretty easy as the sun offers plenty of light to fill the imaging sensor. Empiretech is good about providing firmware updates if you contact him for it.

Ive only had this camera a few days but my initial impressions are very good. Glad I found the site IPCamTalk and the positive reviews of Andys support and this model camera. Based on my initial impressions I just order a second IPC-T5442T-ZE.

These are my first choice for great images.

In terms of price vs picture quality, can’t think of any other camera that hits this sweet spot. Great support from Andy as well.

Not only is this a great camera and a value item but, the support from EmpireTech is more than outstanding! All the latest upgrades to the firmware are supplied almost like they have factory direct connection. I will shop here first for my security camera needs.
