> 3 dayThese come individually wrapped and well packaged. Its pretty similar to most tack cloth. The thin cheesecloth material has lots of holes to catch dust and it is tacky enough to grab particulates but also easy to swipe across smooth surfaces without it catching. It doesnt seem to leave any obvious residue, but touching it with bare hands leaves an obvious light coating on it, similar to dried linseed oil. I suggest wearing gloves when using this and to lightly swipe across surfaces rather than rubbing it in, or else it might leave residue. I also suggest keeping them folded up as the cheesecloth becomes messed up rather easily. Just fold it to a new side to keep using the same cloth.

Greater than one weekThese tack cloths are a must to have around! They are very tacky and work great. So far we’ve used them to clean wood in preparation for painting.

> 3 daySo unhappy with these. They should be sticky for the dust, yes, but they leave behind so much residue!!! And oh hey, that’s permanent because it will not come off. Poor quality and now I’m sad.

> 3 dayAttack cloth is a very traditional method to get dust and fibers off of a surface prior to applying a finish like staying or paint. These work just as well as any of this type Ive ever tried. Its from a brand Ive never heard of and has made in China but seems quite adequate to the task. Nothing exotic, just a basic product that does what its supposed to do.

> 3 dayI’ve done several woodworking projects over the years and used lots of different tack cloths and this is the best I’ve found. Tacky enough to capture fine sawdust but not so sticky it’s hard to work with, and it even smells nice. I bought a box of 12; hope it stores well because I won’t use them all for this job.

Greater than one weekI do a lot of painting with a spray gun and used these while redoing a trailer. Worked excellent! Just let them air dry for about 10-15mins and they work like a champ. Would easily get these again.

> 3 dayEach one of these little clothes come sealed in a plastic bag keeping it fresh. The cheesecloth material is pre-soaked in a shellac type liquid that is tacky (I guess that’s why they are called “tack clothes”) that sticks to all the fine particles of dust left behind after sanding and brushing off and even vacuuming. Each cloth is folded to about a 6 inch square that can be unfolded multiple times to about an 18 inch square. After each unfolding it’s newly fresh surface can be used to collect the dust off your workpiece until it is covered in dust; and then turn over and/or unfold again and repeat the process. When finished the cloth can be put back into the plastic bag (if you have carefully opened it) for use again later … until it will no longer pick up dust. Then, for safety, toss it into a fireproof container so that any spontaneous combustion does not occur. These pre-made tack clothes are not inexpensive, but they are very time saving and convenient. I’m glad to have them available to use.

10-06-2025I use this when I am varnishing my boat. This tack cloth is sticky and removes the saw dusk particles between coats. Nothing really works as well.

Greater than one weekThe before and after shots say it all. Went from a lot of fine dust on the surface of some sanded wood and wood filler to basically nothing. Much better than wiping with a regular rag, I will definitely get these again. I cleaned off about 80 board feet of lumber and the cloth that I opened still has plenty of cleaning ability left. Great buy.
