This SSD is very affordable and works at excellent speeds.

It was a flawless conversion from hard drive to ssd. The story goes I was having PS3 hard drive related issues, so I figured I might as well buy an new one but instead get a ssd. A cheap 20 bucks later I installed it and reinstalled the ps3 software via USB drive. Thats all it needed, it was up and running faster and smoother than new ! Like it makes all the difference no lag spikes, no frame drops, no crashes, and games and files download and play in a 1/3 of the orginal time. Goes without saying that this was an amazing $20 upgrade. I think I might just get another for my second ps3 now that I know the speed increase of this ssd.

Made my pc boot from 4 to 5 minutes to 14seconds this ssd is a awesome upgrade made my old pc run like new!!

I have bought many of these to use as SSD drive for Raspberry Pi 4. Excellent all the way around and fit well into cases that accommodate Pi and SSD.

Works great so far

Two issues. 1) Its oddly a slightly larger size than my last SSD by 1.5mm height and 1mm width, a Samsung 860 EVO. It would not fit in the SSD cage for my BeQuiet 802 case. I had to cable tie it in place. 2) The connections were upside down compared to my last SSD also. That part actually works in my favor, making the power connection and SATA cable easier. Yet, without the cage, I could turn the drive upside down if I wanted anyway. No problems so far in its performance, but only had it for a month at time of this review. I use it to hold all my games, and the load time is so much faster than my normal SATA harddrive.

My PC is formatting this drive at a block rate of around 300mbps which is pretty standard. Formatting at this rate will take a little over an hour and I will monitor the drives temperature and test transfer rate. Im going to go ahead and install an OS on the drive because I think it will perform better as a primary drive. I will send a follow up review later. The following days I installed my os and got my games running. I immediately noticed that so programs are running better and faster. The os boots up in less than 30 seconds. Read write rate is around 540mbps. ***Update*** its been a few weeks. This hard drive is running as my primary hard drive and is running stabily and normally so far. I notice no heat issues or slowness in fact my PC is about 60% faster than it was with the standard hard drive. Im extremely happy with my purchase. ***One Month Update** It has been almost a month and I am using this SSD drive as my primary drive. I have since upgraded memory and processor as well and all is functioning very well.
