This case will give you something more substantial to grip as well as make it feel more like you are reading a book. Plus the case protects it from getting so banged up or broken if you were to drop it. It protects it when you are packing the NOOK in your purse, duffel, or bag. I love this cover and I am so pleased with my purchase.
