> 24 hourDESCRIPTION: This item is a large iron 40” poker intended for firepits or campfires. ———————— ASSEMBLY: This item is one piece, no assembly is needed. There are two protective plastic caps over the points which must be removed before use. ———————— PLUS: This poker is BIG. It measures 40” which keeps you well away from the hot fire. (My ‘standard’ household fireplace poker is only 22”). See photo for comparison. The two points are sharp! They will bite into wood cleanly. Protective caps are good for storing. The side point, used for a pulling motion, is strongly welded in position. The opening in the handle is large and my hand fits entirely through it easily. This is one piece (unlike my fireplace poker which has a separate handle which usually loosens and falls off). ———————— MINUS: This poker is flat black, and may tend to blend in to surroundings and be hard to locate. The protective caps are also black, and may tend to get lost. ———————— HOW I USED IT I use this both in my home firepit and when on camping trips to state parks. This is too large for my home fireplace. I was concerned about leaving it behind when packing up from camping, so I attached a piece of orange flagging tape to the handle for visibility. Likewise, I attached some colored tape around each protective cap.

> 24 hourI got this for camping, and it became such a hit that there were other parties asking for the details. It is one piece, the penalty is a bit long, but for camping it is one of the small items I pack. This one piece allows it to be very strong, and I moved heavy wood without any bending. The tips are very sharp, and it is built with all the functions in mind. Push. Pull, hook, while your hand is in the closed loop handle. So, it will never slip from your hand. The only small improvement I made was to add pieces of reflective tape to make it easy to find when people leave it on the ground at dark (fire time). An easy to recommend fire poker

> 24 hourThis is a typical poker that is a single piece of wrought iron. At 40in this has a great length which is perfect for fire pits and larger fireplaces. It seems well made and as it says in the description several times sturdy.

> 24 hourThis is a nice fire poker. I got the 40+ inch one which comes as one solid piece. It ships with little rubber ends on the sharp ends. The handle is large to fit a hand inside. And 40 inches is definitely long enough for a woodstove or fireplace. If you are thinking of getting this for an outdoor firepit, you might want to find something a bit longer - just my suggestion. I think an out door firepit would need another foot.

> 24 hourThis is a well-made poker that is easy to hold and works well to move logs around in my Solo stove (Yukon model), which I usually fill with 3-4 logs. It is a long poker, so keeps you from getting too close to the fire. Well recommended!
